Another thing I think they should find a compromise on the size of the football between college and pro. Make the college ball slightly larger and the pro ball slightly smaller. lions fan, I think there might be a little bit of "prior" with the call here. teams tee it up to the ref's as well. with the NFL chiming in immediately after the play with the quick hook, it tells me Branch may have been "targeted" himself.
It is what it is at this point. The nfl is no different than the WWE now. Just enjoy the show and don't take it too seriously. I agree with you, I think it kills the game I loved but like I said it is what it is now
@@JohnSmith-tk7nt I completely disagree. One is purposely scripted and has live actors, the other is a sport that is not scripted and anyone has a chance to win the championship. The most important problem is bad football, lack of discipline, lack of understanding, stupid mistakes over and over and it's almost every team that malke bonehead decisions. That's why you have two or three really great teams and the rest is hit or miss
Branch deserved the ejection. He put his hands down and put his helmet into the players helmet. He didn't wrap up and that technique choice was a deliberate action with malice.
The "youngest team in the league" is such a BS stat. The avg age of teams is under 2 years difference between the youngest and the oldest. Packers are the youngest (32nd) at 25y7m old; Tenn is at #19 in the list and exactly 1 year older. Carolina is second oldest, cle is 4th. In fact, the youngest 16 teams are far better than the oldest 16 teams as a group. It seems like one of those stats people want to point to for excuses for regular stupid plays by a team more than anything.

Belichick totally misses the real point. It's not that the rules are inconsistent. It's that the officials are totally inconsistent. Changing the rules won't change the problems with inconsistent calls by officials. THAT'S where the focus should be.
You are the one that misses the point. Inconsistent rules leads to inconsistent calls plain and simple. Every single year a rule gets some minor adjustment that completely changes how a game has to be called. The roughing the passer has been a shitshow. 10 years ago going low was an automatic flag then after a couple of years the started tweaking the rule. 3 years ago landed on the QB or even coming near him was an automatic flag now you have minor adjustments.
Instead of New York how about the opposing coach making the ejection call. If it really wasn't a target, call the unsportsmanlike, the league can fine but if the other coach feels it was football, move on.

Branch hit was dirty. Ball was way out and behind him and he lowers his head and puts the crown right in the face of the WR. Don't know how you don't say that was not intentional. Ejection was fair.
How do you know there was intent or that branch knew the ball was already out? Can’t stop going full speed out of nowhere or react to the receiver ducking
