- In our era of posting all of our best moments and not sharing the bad ones, I thought I would put a spotlight on the fact that we ALL have bad ones. My career has been a long journey of ups and downs, so if you have ever looked at someone’s posts on social media and thought “why isn’t my life perfect like theirs?!” - it’s not!!! No matter where we are or what job we have, setbacks are a part of everybody’s life. Stay optimistic, learn from it, surround yourself with supportive people, be kind, and keep an eye out for the light at the end of the tunnel (because it’s always there!❤️)

It happens far too often, and a lot of it comes down to many in the fashion industry not respecting the models. I've had a model do a two day editorial with Lachlan Bailey, meaning not paid, and then the magazine came out and he had been cut from the story. Another boy was cut from the LV show, even though they were in the bts video about the show.

She is beautiful, as is her sister Ruby. When I first moved to Paris and started going to shows, it was one of Ruby's early seasons and you could just tell she was super cool.
This is so encouraging. Even for people who aren't models, we can get cancelled for trivial reasons that are totally outside our control. I loved hearing your message.
Today, someone who cancelled me two years ago gave me her e-mail to set up a coffee date. She doesn't even remember meeting me last time, but she wants to connect with me after our meeting today. Life is crazy. This video is a good reminder that bad things happen, but keeping an open mind, radiating positive energy, and focusing on the things that you can control can open up doors for better endings.
You need to have personality to become a major model. That is why people like Lily, who is so adorable and full of life and positivity, make it big.
Before she mentioned her teeth, I was staring at them thinking how beautiful she looks with her natural teeth. I'm obsessed with teeth that don't look perfect, unrealistically bleached or too straight. Girl there's nothing to "fix" you look amazing 💕

your first story where you went to disneyland after being cancelled, reminded me of when i was fired from this really cool startup company, they literally were done with me in like 5-6 minutes!! they told me sorry, this is not really working out for us, so could you please give us back your laptop and keys from the building... i balled my eyes out... didn't know what to do... but then cuz i had some money saved up,, i decided to go on a spontaneous trip to London :)) it was my first time in London and i had a lot of fun there :)))

Hi lily, my teachers told me when I was very young that I would never become a doctor. I also had the worst grade one year at school. Now I am a doctor and I was the only one in my class that was actually able to become it! So I truly understand you, life is not easy at all. But we have the chance to demonstrate to people that they where wrong. 😘

This video and MESSAGE is everything!!! Like, seriously, such an important message for everyone. No matter your age, gender, race, etc etc etc.... Everyone can be inspired and take so much hope from this message. I have lived my life like this and it has helped me through sooooo many things over the years. Your mind and thoughts are absolutely connected to everything. So try hard to remain positive and think positive thoughts, no matter what people say to you and what happens to you. Feel sadness, anger, whatever emotion you need to at the moment, Just don’t dwell on that. Don’t let it linger. Be grateful for things and you will receive more things to be grateful for. Thank you so much for this video and sharing it with everyone. It really is a very important life lesson. 🙏🏼❤️

They want to be perfect because everyone is a model now. Including you watching this perfect girl. We are attracted to beauty and beauty has advantages. such like exercising, eating good and having photos taken to you, and earning more money that an engineer for example. Also when you're beautiful everyone desires you

When she said "I realised that its not about me and sometimes they have to do whats right for them." I subscribed. I can't remember the last time I heard someone say that. We're living in such a "Take offence" world, its exhausting. Love her attitude towards everything. I wanna be her friend so bad!!!
That whole thing of lashing out on models for having acne is so dumb, as if make-up is not used and that they don’t edit photos. Emotionally damaged people are just too much when they don’t work on said damage and take it out on others.
Even if make-up and editing weren’t a thing it would STILL not be ok to go off like that on someone!

The people who work with models and treat them badly probably had issues with women growing up and the models represent the pretty girls who wouldn't date them or be friends with them.
@@mdgsk824 This is absolutely true, but just about girls they wouldn't date, but that the beauty of the models makes many people unable to relate to them. They treat the model like garbage because they think of the team as being the photographer, stylist, hair and makeup, etc, but the model is separate.

i relate sooo much to this! i’m an actress and singer and was cancelled for many shows, but at the end it’s not really about us but more about what the producers and directors need. harsh job, but at the end of the day it’s what we love and are passionate about, so totally worth it

*Nope. She is not 5'9 she is 5'6. All models lie about their height!*
I'm 5'9 and I've always considered myself short. All my siblings are taller than me, I am a head taller than my mom. Compared to my aunts from my fathers side I am short, they are all at least 5cm (2 inches) taller than me. Yes I am taller than a lot of people, but it would be fun to be a bit taller, just a bit. But then again, I already have difficulty finding clothes that fit me and my long limbs (27/34 trousers are hard to come by), and my siblings struggle even more.
I don't even consider my siblings tall, I mean we are all taller than the average but none of us really stand out awkwardly in a crowd except one of my brothers. My siblings tease me for being so short, so It's all relative.
