தலைநகர் நாகர்கோவிலில் இருந்து 16 கிமீ தொலைவில் அமைந்துள்ள முட்டம் மீனவ கிராமங்களில் ஒன்றாகும் . இது #நாகர்கோவில் நகரத்துடன் சாலை வழியாக நன்கு இணைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது . இது #திருவனந்தபுரம் சர்வதேச விமான நிலையத்திலிருந்து தோராயமாக 75 கி.மீ. #கன்னியாகுமரி யில் இருந்து சாலை வழியாக சுமார் 34 கி.மீ. ஈசந்தாங்கு, அம்மாண்டிவிளை, பிள்ளைத்தோப்பு, அழிக்கல், கடியப்பட்டணம் மற்றும் மணவாள குறிச்சி ஆகியவை அருகிலுள்ள கிராமங்கள். முக்கிய சாலைகள் அம்மாண்டிவிளை, ஈசந்தாங்கு, நாகர்கோவில் வழியாக #முட்டம் சென்றடையும். பிரிட்டிஷ் இந்தியாவால் கட்டப்பட்ட #கலங்கரை_விளக்கம் உள்ளது. கலங்கரை விளக்கம், கடலுக்கு அருகில் இருந்தாலும், #கடல் மட்டத்திலிருந்து 110 அடி (34 மீ) உயரத்தில் அமைந்துள்ளது. 1947 வரை இந்தியா பிரிட்டிஷ் சாம்ராஜ்யத்தின் ஒரு பகுதியாக இருந்தபோது கட்டப்பட்டது.
