Hi Lisa, I really appreciate how you record videos even on your "worst" of days (too much partying during fashion season, a cold, picking up your kids etc). Shows us the real you and makes the viewer realize how makeup can fit into real life.
Unlike every RUclips "guru" who uses the "excuse my face/voice I'm so sick" faff, you can actually see Lisa is ill by her watery eyes, you can hear it in her voice. I find Lisa the most genuine out of almost all RUclips beauty gurus (other than the pixiwoo sisters). It's nice to see someone who doesn't take duck lipped filtered photos of every end look.
I agree! Your forgot gossmakup though! I feel people nowadays think good makeup is drag makeup. They forget about commercial, bridal, runway, and editorial styles.
Because lisa is a true make up artist and connoisseur, she is very knowledgeable, long experience on red carpet and celebrities make up application, and has excellent credentials. She is an expert in her field and just happens to be generous enough to make youtube videos to share her extensive knowledge with us. We are truly blessed to know her, she doesn't just make videos for views, she makes videos to educate us about make up. You can't really compare her with RUclips "gurus" because it is like comparing a student with a professor. And youtube gurus usually tend to follow fads, best to treat them as an entertainment source and not knowledge source.
Please stop calling Lisa a "RUclips Beauty Guru" or comparing her to them, Lisa is NOT a RUclipsr. She is an industry professional, a genuine makeup artist who has had a long career in the business and is generous and gracious enough to make time out of her busy schedule to make these videos to share with us. Gosh, I love how you're not ashamed to show a complete transformation. Most already start with foundation and concealer to cover up and imperfections so others cannot see them. I wish I could achieve that glow, that dewy appearance to my skin. I just can't seem to find the right combination. This is such a beautiful and timeless look. Thank you for sharing!
Even sick you look absolutely lovely! When I do my makeup now I often catch myself thinking "what would Lisa use", I really appreciate your gentle way of teaching. It's made me more confident to try new looks on myself and enjoy the fun part of makeup.

@akm87 no definitely not, its more dewy, hydrating and glowy than the original so better for normal to dry (or combination with powder) but not oily. Did you try powdering the original one? I find that one is nice for combination skin as the finish is velvety x

When the flash went off, my eyes looked odd and my face looked almost glossy. It's funny because whenever I watch your videos I always notice how eloquent you sound. Your voice is so professional and soothing at the same time. I especially love the way you converse with your models in some of your videos (makes things interesting, not boring!). After seeing how amazing your work is, it's so petty for someone to complain about your voice. And how can a comment about your voice, something you can't change, be constructive?
@pinkposie91 why dont you buy the white base foundation shade from Face Atelier and then you can just add a drop or two to all those foundations you wasted money on that arent quite pale enough. It works so well, I have it in my kit X

the only thing I'm not fond of in this look are the drawn on lower lashes, they look quite silly.
i'm not fond of it either. but maybe if the person's really good at doing it so much so that it won't be quite obvious,then it's fine.. :)

It's funny because whenever I watch your videos I always notice how eloquent you sound. Your voice is so professional and soothing at the same time. I especially love the way you converse with your models in some of your videos (makes things interesting, not boring!). After seeing how amazing your work is, it's so petty for someone to complain about your voice. And how can a comment about your voice, something you can't change, be constructive?
I keep watching this video over and over. It has to be one of my all time faves.
@pinkposie91 why dont you buy the white base foundation shade from Face Atelier and then you can just add a drop or two to all those foundations you wasted money on that arent quite pale enough. It works so well, I have it in my kit X
I love how you just make up the eyes with 1 or 2 things... people like applying millions of shadows but a simple look is the best and classy.
