er beau has just turned 21 not exactly ancient and I'm sure there are thousands like him who are familiar with the song and he chose to sing that song because of it's popularity.
Never in a million years did I think that an Island song will be heard on X-Factor! NZ really have embraced these Pacific Island cultures, thus giving them the opportunity to showcase this to the world via these finalists. Brother Love (original composer and singer of this song - Roimata) will be thrilled, let alone the Cook Islands people so proud of their talented son! Congrats Beau!!

We danced to this song in the night club here in Sydney Australia when it came out in the year early to mid 2000’s. Thanks to Cook island Artist.
