Michael Sheen his acting skills are beyond amazing! He was amazing as a gay character, as Lucian in Underworld, as Aro in Twilight, as Aziraphale in Good Omens and now as this charming psychopathic serial killer!

The only other one I have seen him in is Twilight and Michael Sheen as Aro was amazing. This may sound weird but he was the right amount of creepy. He wasn’t to scary that you can’t watch or look, but he was not so normal that it takes away from the character. And now he is playing the psychopathic serial killer. Micheal Sheen was absolutely perfect for this part.

I liked the part where martin was in a coma and his subconscious was bout the girl in the box threatening to kill his son and he realizes that it was his dream and that the narrative plays in his favor so he switch the scene around and the girl gets killed and he wakes up
Ok I really dont get why there isnt enough Martin/Malcolm fandom yet. Main focus of the show is, thanks god, obviously them and they obviously love and care for each other. Yes, Martin likes other things and people (Mr David :D, Jessica, Ainsley etc.) but I think when it comes to them he can turn off his feelings which means they are disposal. However, when it comes to Malcolm he can’t because he truely loves him and that’s why he is so obsessed with him. Obsession might be a sign of toxicness or unhealthiness but since Martin’s mind is twisted it is not surprising that he gets obsessed over the one thing he loves which is Malcolm. And Malcolm is still that broken little child who misses his father’s warmth and affection. He misses his father; the one he had before the serial killer came out. I got a question about serial killer black pete but can´t see it anymore.....but it referred to the actor of Black Pete being in an Insane Asylum with Michael Sheens serial killer in Prodigal Son. I just thought it was funny.

I would love to see how Martin Whilty was 'made' as well as a more in-depth analysis of his murders that encompasses how and why he chose his victims, what his motive was, how he started his serial killing, etc. In the show, Prodigal Son, we get to see how "The Junkyard Killer" was made and even get why he was involved with Martin shortly before Martin's arrest, and Malcolm reminds his coworkers in the show that serial killers are made not born. So it would be interesting to see what happened to Martin to make him who he is. I wish they had covered Martin's backstory in the show through flashbacks that could have been paired with scenes of Martin's one-on-one therapy sessions (sessions we didn't get to see). We get glimpses of the possible abuse Martin may have suffered through the knowledge that he put his victims in a box in just their underpants (could indicate that Martin experienced a similar abuse to the abuse he gave his victims via locking them in a box in their underpants) until he was ready to murder them. When the murders are talked about in brief moments we get that he paralyzed his victims (indicative that Martin felt that he had no control in childhood so he symbolically shows this in paralyzing his victims)before surgically torturing them (I assume that he victims were surgically tortured due to the moniker "The Surgeon"). We get that he also used chloroform to subdue his victims (was Martin himself chloroformed or is it another metaphorical symbolism of his need for control?). We also get that he killed both men AND women, which would suggest that he was metaphorically killing his parents and using innocent people as surrogates. However, we don't get a sense as to WHY he did what he did other than he "wanted to" in his coma state. In the coma state, he also mentions that maybe his mother loved him too much or not enough and "maybe daddy....daddy did horrible things to me" (note the hesitation when he says this line in his coma state) which could indicate that he grew up in an abusive household and that the abuse came more so from his father. Jessica also mentions to Gil that the best suit that Martin could get for his graduation ceremony was a "navy suit" meaning that Martin wasn't rich and married into wealth when he married Jessica. Yet there are still some unanswered questions, mainly about Martin's childhood and what his original surname was before meeting/marrying Jessica Whitly.
