You probably dont care but if you guys are bored like me atm you can stream pretty much all of the latest series on instaflixxer. Have been watching with my brother for the last days =)
Good afternoon! I have an Electribe 2 and recently purchased an Arturia Keystep midi keyboard. I connect the 5-pin connector of the midi cable to the Arturia midi out, and I connect the 3.5 mm connector to the midi-in on the Electribe. But nothing further happens. I dug through the Electraibe menu, tried to change the parameters, but all without success.
@Alex Tretyakov Be sure to use the black 3.5mm to 5 pin adapter that came with the electribe, there are also other ones that are wired differently. On the E2 you need to set the MIDI Receive Filter to "Off", that is in the Global Menu. If you then set it to Trigger you should see the Pad lighting up in response to midi messages showing which channel responds.
Salut j'ai un clavier worlde tuna mini j'ai sur le côté une sortie ou entre en (midi jack) je n'arrive pas a le faire fonctionner sur ma korg electribe 2 j'ai paramètré la korg pourtant pourriez vous m'éclairer
Is it possible to press pad coresponding to the instrument I want on E2 instead of channel switching on keyboard, to change instruments controlled by keyboard?
the electribe comes with an adapter from 3.5mm to 5 pin midi, connect that to the socket "midi in" on the electribe, then connect a 5pin midi cable from the adapter to the 5pin "midi out" on the keystep. In the electribe you normally have midi in enabled already. (If not there should be a setting in global menu somewhere, Midi receive filter, should be off) Each pad is assigned to a channel, you can change the output channel on the keystep (Shift + one of the Keys), that way you can change sounds quickly.
I can not do it anyway. I think it's a problem with keystep configuration. Is it a matter of setting electribe. electribe-> global parameter-> sync polarity (hi) audio in thru (off) clock mode (auto). clobal midi ch (01). midi receive filter (off). midi send filter (off). Is there anything wrong with setting electribe like this? If there is no problem, keystep problem. ㅠ sorry. ㅠㅠ
@@최상현-k8f Will do. I have tried a couple different cables and many different settings. I think I'll try a nicer cable, but I've never seen that make a difference on other synths.
the E2 responds to different midi channels on the different pads, first pad is channel 1, second is channel 2 and so on. So you need to change the sending channel on your keyboard.
No a straight 5 pin midi cable should be all you need, and the adapter. (You have two adapters that came with the electribe, be sure to try them both, just in case.)
hi, whats the 3.5mm splitter you're using at the back there? love this jam btw
Yes! I think this is the video I need to watch. I'm exhausted so I'm gonna try this tomorrow.
Nice jam. Gives the crave to pick up my gear and start jamming to it. Good work!

@Jadiel Emmanuel definitely, been watching on instaflixxer for months myself =)
Pretty good tone out of that piano sound. I might need to try this.
There is a bit of the "electribe LPF" on the "EP Roads" at 97, and the Decay is set to 107. Other that only the "06 Wet Reverb" MFX.
Sounds great !
Thank you!
nice jam like it a lot
Thank you very much! Glad you like it!
This sounds similar to me in some points to the song "on" of aphex twin

@@reneschmitz4845 Great! Thanks a lot! The "Receive Filter" was my problem, my day is saved. And i was so frustrated. 😃👍

I have not found a way to make the external keyboard just play the part that is selected on the keyboard.
Please teach me how to connect electribe and keystep. Are special cables used? What settings should I set? I'll ask. ㅠ

no, i don't see anything wrong with these settings. it could also be the cable, or the keystep.
Roen Audio Thank you for your help.^^
@@최상현-k8f Same problems here. Getting E2 to work with Keystep is not a simple problem.
Mark Spruell I have not been able to solve this problem yet. It seems to be a problem with the midi cable. Please let me know when it resolves.

Hi. How do you switch to the different voices on the Electribe? When I plug in my MIDI keyboard I can only play the sound on the top left pad.
the E2 responds to different midi channels on the different pads, first pad is channel 1, second is channel 2 and so on. So you need to change the sending channel on your keyboard.
Do I need midi thru box when connecting eletribe and keystep?

Nice jam! If I'm not mistaking, the electribe has no midi in- or output. How did you cope with that?
Thank you! It provides the 5pin midi via included 3.5mm adapters
@@reneschmitz4845 Ah cool thanks!
