Another fight to watch to truly see how good and well rounded this guy is. UFC got a new superstar for sure

Yea he ran thru NorCal top prospects, kalder just went toe to toe with Ernie juarez who’s going to be on dwcs in august, Farjado, kaldar, rivas, and Billy brand are all really good prospects and he walked them

He beat a Kazakhstan grappler... in a small cage... and walkout to C? He's changing the fucking meta.

He wrestled in high school not to say that’s even close to a grappler from Kazakhstan but also Kazakhstan isn’t that good at wrestling compared to a country like Uzbekistan for example in Central Asia not to demean the Kazakhs and their grappling

@@erikmorales17 payton said in an interview with ariel that his coach at his mma gym approached him 9 months in to him training MMA about taking a fight. keep in mind payton wrestled in high school. he also said he trained pretty much every day since he began MMA. I don't know if 9 months in is the best idea in any situation, i'm kind of amazed at payton's progress and development considering how many people come in to the UFC already having sooo many years of combat experience. i think payton is probably the exception. i wouldn't model your own path off of his. if you feel good in the gym and you're beating guys up, it's probably a good sign that you're on the right track to compete. look at your own performance and be honest with yourself. you don't have to wait 6 years but don't throw yourself in there super early either. all the best

      @@erikmorales17 Hi, depends.
1 year is essential, you get everything down, if you're taleneted, had a combat sports background, even less.
In the states you can find a pro fight well anywhere, same for amateur.
For your first fight you dont really do a camp, esp in amateurs, you get the basics down, spar and roadwork.
You will gas out because of the nerves, that's to be expected. Breathe and control the pace, dont look for a highlight lol

Just the way they commentated, uh, the fight vs going off on dumb tangents about nothing. What also stood out was the way when the fight went to the ground and some light bjj was happening no one yelled "OH ITS IN TIGHT!" like dc does every time before a fighter escapes
