This game, despite being awesome, at the end of the day, is a shooter MOBA, there's nothing truly ground breaking with it, it's just overall really well done and thought out, Valve-style. The only thing that is new with this game is how you deny minions by shooting the soul-orb thingies, that's pretty cool, but other than that, nothing is new. All of this just to say that I think it needs a little more credit than you give it, more than "whatever shroud tried to do"
I've loved DotA for a long time but Deadlock awoke my old love of shooters like Quake 2 CTF railgun instagib with grappling hooks and created a beautiful monster merging that with DotA 2. The natural evolution for DotA 2 was to go to what Deadlock is, AKA DotA 3

Shroud. If you don’t spend skill points you can insta lv 2 ult AS SOON AS YOU GET IT for increased farm then get lv 3. I use the same build but with some small tweaks and I’ve noticed doing that with the ult I snow ball so much faster

You have to be as insanely good at aiming as shroud while at the same time at least have an intermediate level of moba skill to pull all this off. The average moba noob with a lot of shooter experience is going to suffer against experienced moba players with little to no shooting experience in deadlock, as far as i can tell. Like don't take shroud's moba skill for granted, he's not a scrub. He itemizes and farms quite well

if this game is like dota, then its all about hero timings. some heroes are great early/mid game, n some are unbeatable late game when they get tons of stuff. just to put this out there cuz u guys were confused how a guy is 1v1ing u with a 7min broken tower
Shiv is just a strong hero that mitigates dmg better than any other hero in the game. It has nothing to do with timing, it's built into his kit. You can easily shut it down with items.
Artemis is unkillable late, things are so unbalanced, you do no damage and die in 2 hits for the first 7 minutes and once youve farmed enough and got your ult you become untouchable or realize you have to swap lanes but everyone on your team is unresponsive. Play with friends or HOPE your build pans out.
Every time this character is on my team or the enemies, it just feeds. But I can definitely see why she would be really good with a coordinated team/good player.
Valorant still lives in your head rent free? Dang man, i know valves viewership is low compared to riots but still, the whole point of Valorant was to be a new gen CS, and it succeeded. Now we get to enjoy two precision shooters instead of one. You know how hard that is to do?

My only problem with deadlock is the lack of picking phase and random lanes at the start. Maybe it will be fixed when there are more characters to play.
