She looks amazing. The ship that flooded itself to fire it's main armament further is amazing. A restaurant that doesn't want to have a view of this girl isn't a restaurant I want to eat at
I know it would mean moving from Texas but has anyone thought of perhaps moving her to New Orleans and having her as part of the D day museum there. I know that it would take Fa nominal work between the two states but it may be the best way to preserve the ship.
And if that doesn't work, I am thinking there is room for the USS Texas right next to the USS Alabama. I just have trouble believing that no one is willing to take the ship for a museum attraction
I lived on the Mississippi coast during hurricane Katrina and I watched Casino barges rise with the tide of 20 feet break from their moorings wash across 4 lane United States Highway and land on top of hotels so I understand what the seafood place is talking about what they are forgetting is that if there is enough water to break a battleship from its moorings and floated over onto your property your property is going to be destroyed by the water. The battleship won’t be the problem. The immense amount amount of water will be the problem.
Been following the progress over the last two years. She is beautiful!

Man, look at that beautiful wooden duck. 🥰
Yuppies do not want it to block their view.
Have you seen the "view" in Galveston harbor??? What a shame that this majestic icon of American and Texas history has to deal with such idiots.
She’s like the woman that’s all dolled up and nowhere to go. All that money to fix her up and no money to take her home. Great job BTF.
It will bring in customers I Don't know what she's complaining about it more money in the bank

No and no
There is currently a local effort for the call to boycott Katies Seafood House, and I’m all for it…👍

Well, there's one way to tell that restaurant - boycott it! Let's see what happens when their sales plummet...
