    John I really appreciate your style. You appeal to novices and more experienced smiths as well. Your content and narration is among the best of the blacksmiths here on RUclips. Keep up the good work!

    Your vids are great. It's nice to see this can be done with the type of tools I have.

    Starting my own lil' forge now and you have the best videos with real smithing without cheating with power tools. Thanks a lot, mate!

    Very cool, I like how you show size of material needed, tools needed and show basics of each step. I also like that your videos don't have a bunch of trans music goofy effects, etc. To the point and effective. 5 STARS !!

    Hey John: Can't get enough of your videos.Really enjoyed this on as I'd like to make a rounding hammer. I'am not sure if you already have one but, a video for making a drift for the hammer eye would be great. Thanks

    That is one sweet bandy table I need one of those so bad an electrical contractor I used to work for had a similar one for cutting the rigid pipes that were over 1 or 1 1/2 inches and bigger because it takes forever with a sawzall and a grinder usually doesn't cut right it was awesome I like the drift I'm going to make one now

    I find this really inspiring, I just started messing around with forging and when everyone is using power hammers it can get a bit demoralising. Thanks :)

    How long did you leave it in the forge to get it yellow/orange color?

    I’ve seen you use both a Spring style and a Guillotine style Fuller Tool. Which one do you prefer?

    Silly question, where did you get your striking anvil or the materials to make it?

    • @OldHickoryForge
      @OldHickoryForge  6 лет назад +1

      Ukon Rauta not a still question at all. The anvil itself I bought on blacksmithing for beginners tailgate sales group on fb. The stuff to make the base I got at my local steel supplier

    Is this a hobby or do you blacksmith for a living? Just wondering if it's worth it to start up full time.
