Ive been there before, even having a teacher, because ive played mostly punk, now metal, but trust me there is so much more to do that doesnt matter where your skill is. To start, music theory, read up. Learn your scales. I dont practice with my scales, i play along to songs because that works best for me, but knowing your scales works wonders for song writing and improve solos There is also improv solos. Pull notes from your scale and come up with a solo on the spot (i was taught this way and its really fun and not incredibly challenging or complicated) Next, the more advanced things, sweeping picking, eco and circle picking: its all dominant hand techniques that can help your playing and speed. You wont get this right away, it will take a while, but many videos are made about these techniques to assist your playing. It took maybe a month of casual practice (at 8 years of play time on and off) to learn sweeps Next left hand speed: play more and itll come eventually, nuff said. Of course, i am young (think high school) and have been playing for 8 years, so not all of this will apply to you but i challenge you to master your craft, and dont give up, all of it takes a ton of persistence and the will to learn. Music theory is hella complicated and just takes a ton of reading and videos, but its also optional (mostly, you must know your scales and chords and keys). It is highly rewarding and can assist your playing and writing to a incredible amount.
