One of your best videos showing scenery & animals, plus the amazing sea life. Thank you for taking us along! I'm a 72 yr old Grammy from Texas. I have too many health issues to make it to your beautiful state so watching your videos makes me feel like I have been able to visit. So glad you are both recovering from COVID.
If remember correctly he was in Fairbanks Elis Air force base I think that's what it's called it's been a long time I do believe that's right I gotta ask him next time I talk to him
Hey there. What a wonderful cruise. I really enjoyed seeing all the wildlife and scenery. Seeing the whale and the tail very awesome. The kenai kicker sounds good. I love doing adventures like this. Glad you all enjoyed a beautiful day. Nice they also had binoculars to use. Nature and animals equals pure awesomeness.
Another great day, with you! Animals out the Wazoo! Loved seeing the dolphins, otters, and the whales, especially, but none disappointed! This week sure went fast for them! So looking forward to seeing your other travel vlogs this year, and finally after more than 2 years, get to take our own trips from having to cancel them in 2020 and 2021! Yea! Vickie from SE Pa
I smiled from beginning to end of this vlog. Such great memories of cruising with Major Marine Tours. We did a glacier cruise to Aialik glacier. So much fun although it was really rocky. Lots of people got sick but seeing that glacier and watching it calve, spectacular. So glad you all got to see such amazing wildlife!!!
Thank you for sharing your experience today. We'll be there in mid Sept. I'll be discussing the 360 Hotel and Major Marine with my husband tonight about your experiences in Seward
I know we were way too early for puffins and orcas, sad but understand ; however , I REALLY enjoyed going early season. I never once felt “smooshed” or crowded on the boat. I never missed a picture I wanted. And all the passengers took turns at prime picture spots and even asked “did you get your picture?” Then stepped away for another family. Don’t miss out on what early season can offer you! There were some incredible “comfort situations & magical moment” pros that made up for missing certain species.
I loved this video, we are going on our Alaska cruise end of August for the second time, looking forward to yours and getting all the tips and try your local brews...lol.
looks like an awesome cruise, it was nice meeting you two on the hwy while filming the Dalls sheep, first time I'd ever seen one of those. I was excited meeting you two, cant wait to run into you again. Maybe i should have followed you to the cruise (lol). The Tonsina trail was awesome, it leads to a beach outside of Seward, you two would like it.
So fun! Wish I could have seen all of you. Deanna and I passed in the air 😄. Timing just didn't work out. Oh, and BTW, hubby butt grab is always appropriate 🤩
Hi, Angie! Sherri was prescribed scopolamine from her doctor and it’s worked wonders! It’s a little patch she puts behind her ears and it lasts for 3 days
Brings back bittersweet memories of our boat tour in July 2004. I was so looking forward to finally seeing whales, but before we made it all the way out of Resurrection Bay, we hit an uncharted rock under the water that gouged the hull of our boat! As we were taking on water, our tour company called another tour company to come rescue us, & we had to transfer onto the other boat. Then, since that boat was smaller, we all had to sit still in the middle since it was technically overloaded, & we went back to the dock. Never saw any whales 😢. Scenery was gorgeous though.
The rest of the trip was amazing though. We actually loved Alaska more than Oahu & seriously considered moving to Anchorage, but in the end we decided we wouldn’t deal well with the long dark winters. Never saw whales yet, but I did get to swim with 3 dolphins in the Florida Keys for 30 minutes! It was so worth every single penny!!
There are otters in the local rivers. There are 5 rivers that flow the city of Salisbury with lots of ducks and swans too. There are also 4 peregrine falcons chicks in the Salisbury Cathedral tower. They kill the seagulls which is the best thing
Hmm, it always can be good to have on hand depending on where you are traveling. There are years when the spring mosquito hatch is bad, and other years it isn’t
@@LeggLife Thank you for replying! We're doing the standard Seward to Vancouver, with stops in Juneau, Icy Straight Point, Skagway, Haines, Ketchikan. Our mosquitos in NJ aren't bad in the spring, we have more of a summer problem, so I keep thinking it will still be too cold for them in AK. We're checking a bag, so I'll throw a bottle in. Thanks again!!
Great question! At the end of the cruise there is a bucket on a table as you leave. It’s where you drop your comment cards and where you can leave a tip for the crew! There was no specific amount, we tipped the cash we had :)

I just love the color of the water there. Similar to the Kenai river. Great whale pictures and beautiful scenery in every direction.
Yes! The water is very similar to the Kenai river! Such a beautiful color :)
Enjoy your day
Thank you! You as well :)

I wish I can remember my time in Alaska I was so young when I lived there with my grandparents my grandpa was stationed there in air force .
Well, there is only one response to this, guess you need to come back for some new memories! :)
One day hopefully I can
If remember correctly he was in Fairbanks Elis Air force base I think that's what it's called it's been a long time I do believe that's right I gotta ask him next time I talk to him

The Kenai kicker certainly was a fun (and strong!) drink! Ha! It was a nice addition to the cruise :)
What a great tour. The sea otters are so fun to watch. The color of the water is fabulous. Thanks for taking us along on this tour.
You’re very welcome! Thanks for following along :)

I really enjoyed this vlog a lot. Thank u.
My favorite day in Alaska was Seward and my Kenai Fjords tour. Saw a pod of Orcas and a lot of other wildlife. A group of otters is a Raft.

Absolutely agree! What an amazing day! So incredibly thankful that we got to share this experience with you both!
Wow
Headed to Wasilla to work for 4 months once again. I’m sure I Will make it to Seward again. Can’t wait to go to Denali via railroad!
Wow looks you had a great time
We really did!

Hi!! I heard that we just missed you! We’re planning to come back soon and we need to see you when we’re there, so we will connect!
Remind me what you guys did again to help Sherri to help avoid getting seasick? I know she used to and that is why she avoided these cruises.

Oh my goodness! I’m so sorry that was your experience!
Wow! So sorry about the whales, but what a story you came away with.

Yicks
Would you say April is a good time to visit Alaska? It seemed like the weather was tolerable and it didn't look super crowded.

You had me at hot chocolate, booze and whipped cream 🤣
Ha! Same! That was a wonderful addition to such a great day!
We would love to come there and meet yall...wheres a good place to stay
I'm going through my "recommended" packing list and I have a question. Is bug spray really necessary for a mid-May cruise?
Hmm, it always can be good to have on hand depending on where you are traveling. There are years when the spring mosquito hatch is bad, and other years it isn’t

So who and how much do people tip on the boat?

Booze+Sheri=squeezing Adam’s 🤭
Ahahaha!! Apparently!!!
