The only unfortunate one was Mel who had to be terminated while the rest graduated. She had a pon moment and ultimately decided this was the best choice. But now, she is happier than ever.
It was more of a legal issue, if I recall correctly. Nobody *wanted* to terminate her, but she accidentally broke NDA, and NDAs are taken very seriously in Japan. Legally, I think it was their only option - at least for the section of NDA breached, I would assume. We just have to hope Cover has laid out better, clearer rules, so it doesn't happen to future talents. Regardless, always gonna miss Mel. She had been there since the beginning, and for it to end like that is just painful. At least she parted on good terms, despite it being a termination.
It's also possible that they wanted/planned to forgive her - for obvious reasons, it being an accident and all - but she figured it would be even worse and set a bad precedent if a member is given a slap on the wrist for a breach of NDA, seemingly out of seniority. In the end it's tough to know for sure what happened and who chose/said what, but in the end, she was terminated on good terms with the company, which speaks volumes.

Tsukumo Sana who graduated 2 years ago in the end of July 2022 I know Holo EN and JP loves Sana but she is Eternal. Amelia Watson took the Ame Way because a new time traveling adventure awaits but she will return in the Far Future. Minato Aqua graduated because she already made her decision , In September at the end of the month it was her last Performance and we will miss her. Yozora Mel got terminated due to a 3rd party but it wasn't her fault it was those people who took advantage. We Miss her and we love her

The main song of Hololive is Shiny Smiley story. There’s a phrase in there in English. “Even during tough times, and sadness there’s something to believe in, never forget these heartbeats and move forward” they later say that they “want to shine” even if they did graduate no matter the circumstances as some point in time these people helped create memories that we would never forget. They shined like stars and even if a star disappears, collapses or explodes. There’s a saying that everyone is made out of stardust and therefore these stars will forever be with us.
I see a lot of talk about Rushia and Mel in these comments, so I feel like it needs to be said: It's not about who was already in the game or not, it's not about graduation vs. termination, or anything like that. Kay was initially going to include Rushia, I specifically remember him confirming that pretty early on, I think on twitter. It was either twitter or reddit. Termination alone is not reason for exclusion, basically. It's extremely likely he changed his mind for different reasons. Reasons to do with the talent herself. I won't get into it here, If you know, you know.
I do wish the full details on her... Situation got to ever actually come out. With how it resolved, we'll never know the real extent. Could range from "mentally ill and kinda spiteful" to "straight up psychotic"

There’s a phrase in there in English. “Even during tough times, and sadness there’s something to believe in, never forget these heartbeats and move forward” they later say that they “want to shine” even if they did graduate no matter the circumstances as some point in time these people helped create memories that we would never forget. They shined like stars and even if a star disappears, collapses or explodes. There’s a saying that everyone is made out of stardust and therefore these stars will forever be with us.

I see a lot of talk about Rushia and Mel in these comments, so I feel like it needs to be said: It's not about who was already in the game or not, it's not about graduation vs. termination, or anything like that. Kay was initially going to include Rushia, I specifically remember him confirming that pretty early on, I think on twitter. It was either twitter or reddit. Termination alone is not reason for exclusion, basically. It's extremely likely he changed his mind for different reasons. Reasons to do with the talent herself. I won't get into it here, If you know, you know.

It makes me sad thinking of the day they're all gonna sparkle. But let's be glad for now we've still got more of the girls than not. And even then, hopefully they at least evolve into new forms like Ame, Coco or dare I say even Selren and Pikamee did, even if changing forms changes their identity somewhat.
