- On December 23, 2020, I shot Aberdeen and Rockfish Railroad's daily local switching cars in downtown Fayetteville, NC with A&R GP18 No. 300 and GP7 No. 205 for power.
Later that afternoon, I chased CSX F736 (the Fayetteville area local) taking some empty DODX flats to US Army base Fort Bragg, and taking a few different ones back out. I shot F736 between Fayetteville and Fort Bragg at the Country Club Dr crossing just north of downtown, near the I-295 overpass, and at the Mc Lamb Dr crossing.
F736 was using CSX GP40-2 (formerly C&O 4177) and CSX GP38-2 (formerly L&N 6030) for power. Enjoy the video!
Back in the early 70s the amount of military rail was staggering during the Vietnam war. Hay st was absolutely crazy and trains all over Fayetteville.
I have never seen or heard of this small railroad
A really neat hidden gem. Same motive power since the 1960s and same paint scheme since the 1950s
Nice video
Cool short line railroad
nice catch of these classic GP's
Nice catch Cody! I caught a Eastbound NS train in Goldsboro while I was heading home and I don’t know what the identity was
Thanks! That eastbound was probably P98.
@@crescentlimitedproductions9192 anytime and thanks I was wondering what he was but I had a feeling that P98 was heading to New Bern or Morehead City
