Youth Day 2024 | Gauteng commemorates 1976 Soweto student uprising

It's been 48 years since students embarked on the streets of Soweto on June 16, 1976, to protest against inequality and inferior education.
The Gauteng Provincial Government today commemorates the 48th anniversary of the 1976 Soweto uprisings and honour the lives of the young people who lost their lives including the Alexandra massacre that followed on June 18, 1976.

We had enough of 16 June 1976. To those who took part alive or dead, we say thank you very much re ya leboha. ANC government is trying to shift its responsibility with useless speeches. Youth of now a days can't read nor write. If you don't believe me. Go to any ANC government schools,shame siestog sies. Pupils can't read nor write. Labour markets can't absorb them. What about the rest of the world,shame siestog sies.
