One of the most charming sounds in the world is the sound of a Mercedes diesel engine! Of all the Mercedes classics I currently own, I still don't have a diesel, and a W123 is at the top of my wish list. Thank you SO much for these wonderful videos. As a newbie "mechanic" learning how to maintain and repair my little fleet, instructive videos like these can be a huge help when tackling something here at home. I've become addicted to your channel and all the wonderful information I'm learning!
Stunning, utterly mind blowing condition. Looks like brand new. If you have a good warm dry climate and keep up with regular maintenance, there's no reason why these cars shouldn't last a life time. Testament to Mercedes build quality back in the day. Thanks for uploading, always loved the W123, a classy machine that looks like it was built like a tank.
Hey John, Does it matter the direction of how the plug goes back on the odometer in the back of the W123 instrument cluster? One wire is brown and the other yellow and green (or yellow and blue)? So sitting in the car looking forward should the brown go on the left pin or the opposite on the right pin? Or does it even matter? I ask because I had to try and repair a non working odometer now the speedometer doesn't work now; when it was working before trying to repair the odometer.
That's an interesting question. Yes there is a two prong plug on the back of the odometer. I'm pretty sure it only fits on there one way I've never run into this issue before.
@@truefunk99 actually I may have misunderstood you. The tachometer is the RPM gauge the odometer is what tracks your mileage. Is it your RPM gauge that's not working because there is no plug on the odometer it is mechanical.
@@woodsandbarclay Its not the tachometer. With the Instrument Cluster completely out of the car. There is a silver plate that goes on the back of the odometer. Then right above the speedo cable and a little to the right. There is a little black square thing with 2 plugs sticking out. There is black cable that fits on it. I even have pics of back of the instrument cluster.
This car actually already sold but you can always subscribe to inventory notifications on our website. When cars become available we post the price on the website. www.woodsandbarclay.com

@@woodsandbarclay Okay thanks. I may have to get a whole good used cluster.

Would adding headrests to the 2nd row seats be possible? Asking for a friend;)
Yes you can do it but headrests only came with 3rd row seat cars. But if you have the headrests you can convert the seats to accept them.
A near perfect specimen but no third seat! 😮
3rd row seats are overrated I like the dog net and the cargo cover much better. No one can use the third row seat. Adults cannot sit back there.
👌👌👌👌💯👌👌👌👌
I am glad you are enjoying the videos.
What kind of wiper blades do you use on your these mercedes? Thanks
I usually buy the Bosch blades at the local auto parts store. They always fit the best.

Could you please tell us the price as it's very frustrating to watch your work and not be told what it is !
If you are interested in purchasing one of our cars just give me a call and we can discuss pricing on any vehicle.
So you are the salesman. You are looking for a buyer. Am I correct?
I wonder how much a car like this would cost?
