Exactly! They love to quote Matthew 7, "Many will say to Me, 'Lord, Lord'... but I will say to them 'Depart from Me I never knew you'." without a shred of humility or self-awareness to even consider He may actually have been talking about them and not the faithful queer Christians just trying to live a peaceful, normal, Godly life.
"Everyone hates me because I'm so awesome and because I'm so awesome everyone should love me." "No, we're repelled by you because you're arrogant, self-centered, and claim superiority while being at best, woefully sub-average and more commonly, ghoulishly bereft of even the barest scraps of goodness." "Same thing! You're just proving my point!" If Christ does actually return, he'll be very lonely when he heads back to Heaven.
I remember arguing with everyone all day when I was first saved. Even though I was not argued into the Kingdom myself, but met by grace and mercy where I was at, including my ignorances (I was pretty sure the tree of life was Marijuana!). But fairly quickly after I came to Christ I was taught that my job as a Christian was to be hated for my constant (like a mosquito in a tent at night ) witnessing to my workmates and family. They hate the light, right? I ruined so much over those years.
Who is being hated? The immigrants The poor Those who are different So, those are the real Christians, for they are hated. (Based on the ideas of this book)
Hate and love are incredibly powerful tools for controlling people. They hate you, but we love you. The devil hates you, but god loves you. If you don't love god, then you hate him. If you don't hate the devil, then you love him
It sounds like you’re equivocating two different religious communities. The one Natasha is referring to is the Christian one. The one you’re referring to was the Pharisees and Sadducees. There are a lot of relevant differences between the two. Also, do not forget that Rome persecuted Christians too-it wasn’t just the Pharisees. Jesus’s words were to the disciples, who were hated because of His name (Matthew 10:22). If a modern Christian is being faithful to Christ and is hated because of it, they are hated because of His name. If the world really does mean the whole world, and not just some vague religious community, then being hated because of it would be something to be expected.
He was the friend of outcasts, because they were the only Jews by and large who weren’t shocked by his terrible teachings and impious acts. He lost even most of the outcasts when he desecrated the Temple.
Growing up in the church I never noticed how lacking in nuance everthing I learned was. Everything was oversimplified.
As a transgender Christian, I feel like I'm being "hated without cause" by Conservatives. Why doesn't that validate MY religious witness? 🙄
I don’t know who you’re talking about, but if someone is saying you’re mentally ill and need help, that’s not hating you.
Lol YT is deleting more of my innocuous comments. Fantastic!

"The leaves of the 'tree' are for the healing of the nations" 😅😇
I'm sorry dude ❤🩹
everything under the sun is hated, including the sun.
The worse you are, the holier you are! 😂
I don't see people "outside the church" expressing hate for Bishop Budde.
Who is being hated?

More than 200 million dollars was spent on anti-trans "Satanic panic" propaganda before the last election. I don't recall any anti-Christian ads.
That’s a caricature of conservative positions

Eloquent as ever
Jesus was the friend of outcasts. They worship the Messiah after the order of Aaron from the ministry of stone not Melchizedek
