Wow I remember this man . A very good actor with the ife theater group. Very versatile I remember he acted in Igba ti aye yewon tan, iwa ibaje ni won nwu. I really enjoyed watching him on NTA ibadan. Thak you Dele for bringing someone like this back❤. Nigeria with many wasted talents.
Man, Ayanmo mi lowo olorun lo wa o ye ye, ta aye ba n shata......childhood memories song....90, 91, 92. Brother you are one great thing that happened to some of us, i have been searching for some of those old D' Rovans Band songs, to no avail, until you shared them and interviewed that bros in US now and this man now. Those songs bring back old memories, i was just 11 or 12 around those period. God Bless Agbaletu Baba!
If the leader of the band treated you individually, not mind if you're a family man or not. No amount of money satisfied a family man. Agbaletu, thank you for a job well done.
I was wondering who is Biyi, na Olu Ola Kazeem mi I know am for D’Rovans band. There’s one song wey them sing for Ibadan then, can’t remember the tune again o, the song na fire 🔥 den o😅😅😅
Francis Aiyegbeni was a defence contractor and made so much money within defence through his fellow Irrua man, Admiral Augustus Aikhomu. Along with the likes of Arisekola, Akanni Aluko, Rasheed Adesokan, he held the anti-democratic wing perpetuating the military stay that time. The band was just a decoy to siphon away the so-called security votes from the government that time. If you know, you know.
Baale of Bodija..Hmmm!He was also collecting toll fees at the toll gates during the Millitary era..The first man to dash me a sealed nylon of brand new 20 naira notes when my father took me to his house on my way to FGC...
yes, Chief Ayegbeni brought out his gun, a pump action one midnight when we were shooting Madam Dearest. one of us Sunday Afolabi, while trying to locate the floor we were, missed his way and he was caught by the cctv approaching Ayegbeni's floor. the chief appeared on our set with his pump action asking for Sunday. armed robbers had stormed the hotel several times before then.

Thank you once again Agbaletu for this brilliant interview. We are enjoying tour works!
Well done for another excellent interview which unveiled a lot of historical truths.
Uncle Akin Ogunsumi that he mentioned studied civil engineering at Ife and is now a top management staff at the Water Corporations of Oyo state.
We were OAU band then. We opened with some of Shina Peters music. Shina had to jump in and called his band boys in.
Even the tribute to Baba Awolowo by Chief Commander was adapted from Baba Ambrose Campbell's track
Keep the good job going
Great one
