My grandpa is a member of this and helped build out and maintain these rails. I’ve been able to operate his steam engines a few times. I’m glad you enjoyed it !
I'm the Safety for NEOLS. I'm sitting in my apartment here in Florida looking at NEOLS videos and came across this one. It's great! By the way. The big guy trying not to look at the camera is "Big Mike". I rarely see myself in videos. Come on back for the 2024 season! We'll be glad to see you again!
What scale ? By the conductor riding backwards I am guessing 1 1/2” on 7.5 gauge track. We don’t permit it on our 1” scale 4.75” gauge tracks for safety. Looks like a great railroad.
@@ThatTrainCouple I checked online and found they have 7.5” gauge on ground and elevated 4.75”. Since I do 1” scale (4.75” gauge) during the summer, I know riding backwards is a challenge. Some pictures and videos can be found by searching the Chippewa Northwestern Railroad

I am not 100% sure, but these are called "live steamers" and are meant to be ridden
