Guinness has changed, the glasses they use more are more suited for the nitrogen

They appear to be pouring nitrogen Guinness into the mugs in some adverts, similarly the shape of the Guinness mug is not disimilar to the top of the tulip glass used today. At the time of writing my post diageio distributed the gravity glass, which many users found aesthetically unpleasing. Since then they have introduced a more traditional tulip glass which are nicer.

@@LarryFeinburg my one question is if this Guinness was similarly nitrogenized, how is it severed from an ordinary glass bottle. Modern guiness would never be packaged without a ball or something to keep the texture so I wonder

If you bother to watch the video in it's entirety you will see both bottled Guinness and draught being advertised

@@LarryFeinburg I know this. My point was that Guinness today doesn’t come in a bottle at all. It’s shipped in a way to keep the nitrogen intact, which is why I assume the beer was different when it was packaged in a standard glass bottle.

Blimey, some of these are so bad... Amazing what the advertising gurus did to rebrand it in the 90s

Some of the early ones do seem a bit patronising, as if they were trying to instruct the viewers as much as sell to them.
