Thank you for explaining step by step! Ever since I watch your videos I keep wondering myself how do you process to shape faces as symmetrical as possible. This is really helpful
the secret to that is the kneading in the beginning. Right out of the box the clay is very squishy and soft but when you knead it for a bit it starts to slightly harden up - This makes the surface harder and therefore fingerprints don't show up as well (you have to get a feel for the "right time" to kneed it though, which can be tricky at first) If you want dust-free sculptures you have to have a dust free workspace, here's things you can do: o) Wipe the work surface with water, this gets rid of static that holds dirt to the surface and later transfers to the clay o) Wash your hands before sculpting o) Wipe down all the tools you plan on using o) put pieces for later use in an airtight container until you use them (wash that with water as well) o) If you want to be really nit picky, either put some cling film on your fingertips (mostly pointer and thumb) or cut off the tips of thin rubber gloves and use those to get rid of fingerprints
