      Say is easy but I required lots of skills and effort to make one. Not everyone can do it. The reason the figurines was expensive because of the material, time and effort. That’s why most mass production figurines are cheaper because it takes less time.

    it always amazes me how people work with clay....no matter how lightly i hold it, how hard a clay i use or how cold i keep my hands and room, clay just insta melts in my fingers. when i see vids like this where the person is actually holding the figure i am blown away because if i picked that up it would just start to melt out of shape straight away.

    This is amazing - but how the holy hell do you not warp the piece while working on it??
    I bake(harden) my pieces in multiple stages to avoid warping or messing up parts I've completed

    • @Xerain
      @Xerain 6 лет назад +84

      If definitely seems to me like he's leaving parts out.
      For example, I know you can use a heat gun to cure just parts of the sculpture at a time, but I don't see him doing so. The other mystery is the lack of fingerprints. I know you can smooth them out with lighter fluid or naphtha, but that won't work with this kind of fine detail. Makes me wonder if he covered his finger tips in super glue or something. Finally while he's only the using grey super sculpy for the more details parts, some of the beige colors parts turn grey as the video goes on. So he is either going back and smudging some firm in, or perhaps was using a mixture for regular and firm for those parts to begin with. And perhaps that cures grey fro heat gun use? Not sure because I've never worked with firm.

    • @ColdOneK
      @ColdOneK 6 лет назад +20

      didn't think about the heat gun - derp
      if he is hardening bits and pieces - he could simply be filing to remove finger prints
      100% alcohol is also great for fingerprints w/ sculpey
      The more intricate stuff that he couldn't reach w/ fingers would be smoothed w/ tools like the spoon or ball tool
      Really is hard to tell when he hardens though - maybe he's using that freezing stuff that you'd normally see w/ plasteline clay?

    • @monca1222
      @monca1222 6 лет назад +9

      I think he did after he was done with a certain point, using a heat gun(on a plate). He sculpted the head with nose, mouth and eye sockets, heated, then worked on the bangs and heated that too and continued, etc.
