I am just going to put this comment here for the sake of the other viewers who are just getting into the mechanical keyboard scene but are rather un-informed: At $199 USD ($149 USD during sales), the Apex True RGB Keyboard is not a great value. Why? - Mediocre stablizers out of the box. - pricing is in GMMK Pro's territory (mass production 75% keyboard kit with options for plate materials (the top "cover" you see ontop of the PCB) - Hotswappable but no information on whether is it 3 pin or 5 pin sockets, or is it north or south facing. For below 100 USD you could have purchased these boards that offer more bang for your buck, and most are hotswappable too: Epomaker / Skylooong GK61X, GK64X, GK68X, GK87, GK96X Epomaker EP84 (Or Keycool KC84, basically the same boards) Anne Pro 2 (Not hotswappable, but decent stabilizers out of the box) Keychron C1, C2, K2V2 (Hotswappable model), K4V2 (Hotswappable model) Gamakay K66, K61, K87 Gamakay TK68 KP Republic BM65RGB Kit (Supports Screw-in PCB mounted stablizers) Keydous NJ68 Most of them support RGB backlighting. That is all, have fun researching and hope you find what you want!
Neither is this a good review or a good keyboard.Maybe the keyboard isn’t bad but it’s fairly overpriced. If you want a pre built keyboard, find something from drop. They have great keyboards if your willing to pay a decent amount. Also this review doesn’t go over anything important, like is it hot swapable, how are the stabilizers which you don’t even know what they are.The stabilizer is why your space bar sound like that btw.And this is just one of many points to glance over while reviewing a keyboard. Also a lot of your content is harmful to people who are trying to get into the keyboard scence
Drop is a good choice I got my keyboard recently $70 Ajazz K780T cherry mx red and the rgb is so much better than this keyboard and it's pretty standard for a starter
i feel like this board is trying to be a midway point between say a razer board and the epomaker/womier budget area but it ends up being in neither. like this is *possibly* a step up from a big brand if youre not currently tied to a lighting ecosystem but in reality there are better options for this range of board like the womier and also its a 60% so at that point just get a dz60rgb and stick in any case you want. this isnt a terrible board by any means though, but value for money isnt there at all for this
Ay bro hit me up if you want me to walk you through building a custom mechanical keyboard! I promise we can do better than pretty much any prebuilt keyboard on the market right now!
this keyboard is fairly overpriced in my opinion, you could build a similar value custom for cheaper the only benefit I see is its hotswap feature but you could get a similar kit without switches and put in you own and get a cheaper result depending on switches. Cool board though good start to a custom keyboard.
@@makswalenczak Kailh by no means is a bad brand there are just better options for switches. They should make this keyboard a barebones variant where you get the case pcb and you finish off with caps and switches and this would sell well if priced better
@@Yexyls Hey man, this keyboard costs $199 USD, $149 USD if it's under sales. Going custom or prebuilt-customs, you don't have to go that expensive unless you wanted to. Keyboard is extremely overpriced ngl, there are obvious hotspots in the rgb throughout the case and the stabilisers are just alright
