    If I remember correctly I played this and the first game in the early 2000s and I cried an ocean of tears at this ending. one thing thus video didn't show which adds to the emotion is all your friends die in getting to the start point of the video

    This was actually a really good ending and tbh best SMT storyline. It was an emotional story that taught some good morals and lessons. It was really refreshing to see a happy ending for Megaten

    Peace is the 'one word'. What Schroedinger the cat says right before you fight Brahman is extremely important. He says, because they don't realize that constant war and death is not the answer, they will continue for all eternity having their solar data recycled, over and over again to be reborn into the same world full of war, death, and destruction. This is why Brahman, as God, just decided to wipe out humanity. They continued to basically do it to themselves. They didn't even have to go down the path of creating the virus and turning themselves into Avatar Tuners, demons eating each other and hiding underground avoiding the sun, if they would simply realize that they don't have to fight and kill each other. Incessant unnecessary war and death is never the answer. Remember the song that Saraphita sings to calm Serph and the others down when they are hungry? When she sings, "Shanti...Shanti..."? Shanti means peace. Does this help a little? This video doesn't show what the screen reads after the credits. The screen says, "Shanti... Shanti..." Peace. Then it says 'Fin'. So peace is the answer. 😊

    I can’t help but have a tear come down my eye when I watch this ending. When I first experienced it I was moved. The game was such a long but memorable journey and the ending being happy didn’t feel cheesy one bit. Out of all the smt games I’ve played this game brings the most emotion from me. I’m so glad to have played such a gem.

    Love. The one simple word that will bind us together. If everyone had love in their hearts for everything then suffering would no longer exist. Harmony with the self and the world is all that's needed. Sometime soon everyone will realize how powerful human love is. Nothing, non-human or otherwise, can conquer true love for everything and the self.

      Yes it is, this game has so many references to Nocturne my head-canon is that this is the sequel

      I think happens nocturne after the bad ending of persona 3 even in the intro of smtdd2 you see someone point a “gun” to there head about to shoot them self in the street

      PlatFormingames :-/ this is possibly the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard, the people were trying to kill themselves because if they were turned to stone their souls were eternally trapped.

      @@Jobulejobies What you said is stupidest thing I’ve heard that’s not how souls work p.s you’re probably one of those fans that hate persona For over shadowing shin Megami Tensei

    • @Jobulejobies
      @Jobulejobies 4 года назад +9

      PlatFormingames :-/ literally play the game, they use that explanation. That scene is in the opening cutscene so if that’s all you have watched it makes sense that you don’t have context. Also I don’t think anyone in p3 uses an evoker by shooting themselves in the mouth lol
      Edit: also what do you mean you’ve heard that’s not how souls work??? It’s a fictional game not based on reality like wtf are you even talking about the developers can make souls work however they want.

      +Raximus3000 Jeez, I'm glad I stopped at around lv50-60 at the save point between Shiva, Vishnu and the Megathingie boss (who rekt my party since they barely got 550 HP and even at 4 Debilitate & 4 Luster Candy (Charge) the dude would still dish out 400-500 damage per turn LOL). I woulda needed to grind some just to beat the last 2 bosses (and more for Shiva, Vishnu, Seth & Satan >_>) but seeing how CLICHé AND SHITTY THAT ENDING WAS, I'm so glad I didn't waste another 10-15 hours on top of it. (currently 'grinding' to beat Alice in Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker, but at least you can be level 99 in 30-45 minutes there so no biggie and the story is 10 times better). What a fucking letdown. Digital Devil Saga 1 was so much better.

      Weellll, the original author had to leave halfway due to illness, but she ended up making a light novel series based on what she originally wanted to do. Apparently, it's much better than the ending in DDS2. First book is already translated, the rest are hopefully being translated.
