Okay, but this was truly the video that saved my skin. I was looking for a new skin care routine and came across this video about 3 months ago. I bought a lot of the products listed in the description and found what kind of acids I did and didn’t like and I liked almost all of them! I looked more in to it and got the products from other brands that were higher rated and they worked even better. All my love to this girl!

@@Bleukfamily Higher Rated Products I’ve Tried:
The Inkey List Salicylic Acid Cleanser
      Thayers Lemon Astrigent Toner
      Glow Recipe Niacinamide Dew Drops
      CeraVe Moisturizing Cream
All of these products together made me breakout but the problem might have been because I was using the skincare routine in this video for weeks before trying this. I used this routine for 2 weeks and I do not recommend the Thayers Lemon Toner, it has really bad reviews and I felt if I kept using it it would have made me feel the same, Glow Recipe Niacinamde Dew Drops, you’re supposed to use this product right before moisturizing, and it did make me glow, but right after I applied the moisturizer, it was gone.
      New Skincare Routine:
      CeraVe SA Renewing Cleanser
Trader Joe’s Rose Water Facial Toner
      The Ordinary Niacinamide
      The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid
      CeraVe Moisturizing Cream
      I recommend using
      CeraVe SA Renewing Cleanser
      Walgreen’s Hydrating Sunscreen SPF 50
      or
Supergoop! Play Everyday Lotion SPF 50
(Sunscreen is good for the skin)
Then at night use an exfoliant!
      I recommend:
Paula’s Choice 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant
(Sorry this is a lot, and if you’re having any trouble/don’t know how to use these products, search up how to use them on youtube!)

Definitely agree that Cerave exfoliator is a 10/10 been using it since it was released! Also the Cerave healing ointment is a must have for your skin! Here is a tip for those that are thinking of you using the ointment it's the very last step in your skincare routine and you can use it all year round. The price is $18 at Target but the tub will last you all year. Definitely worth the money. You can also start out with the tube first if you don't want to buy the tub. Yes you will look like a glaze doughnut but your skin will thank you later! 😊

I watched this video for the first time approximately 3 months ago. I was suffering from textured skin and light tiny red bumps mostly on my cheeks. I was tired of it. I just want to say thank you so much for posting this!! It took me 2 months of consistency to see a difference in my face. I almost gave up because initially the serums broke my cheeks out.. but upon further research I found out it was normal.. so I pressed on. Nowww my face is visibly softer and more clear. I’m so happy!! I used alternate products in the toner & sunscreen. I used a different Rose Water toner from Amazon and a universal tinted moisturizer sunscreen from the Dermatology brand. Thanks again!!! Oh for context I am 41 years old and this still worked for me ❤️

I find that expensive for drugstore products but I really love the creams it doesn't break out my skin and keeps it moisturized. I use Neutrogena acne wash $12 that works for me and I just bought retinol serum from maritime natural $30 the rest from ordinary niacinamide and lactic acid. Witch hazel as a toner but it's drying out my skin not hydrating. I have switched to rose water and that works great. I'm in need of a good sunscreen that won't break me out or burn.

Toners aren't necessary unless you have a specific skin concern. There's exfoliating toners and hydrating ones. But there's moisturizers that can give you enough hydration, just gotta know your skin type. I got acne prone skin and I use the Glycolic Acid toner from the Ordinary and I try to use it like once or twice a week. It's been pretty good. Also, the CeraVe cream already has niacinamide and hyaluronic acid so, the niacinamide and Hyaluronic acid serums from the Ordinary isn't really needed either. But love CeraVe and the Ordinary. Both so good! I'ma try that sunscreen tho. I been loving The mini Purito Daily Go To Sunscreen. Almost done w it, so I need to get more. Think Ima try out the Kids version of Black Girl Sunscreen. Heard good things bout it.

I think it's very personal when comes to skin care products.
    Coz everyone's skin is different.
No doubt you're right, skin is still skin, whatever skin types, all needs hydrations.
Well for me I just keep my skin regiment simple and straight, if I'm using retinol, everything will be retinol for the evening / night's routine.
In my 13 years till currently, I'd been using retinol nightly.
When I said retinol, I literally meant none over counter prescription types. Not those Retin A cream 0.025% & 0.05%.
My night retinol skin care I keep it very simple.
For cleanser, I'm using RoC's Retinol Correxion Deep Wrinkle Serum Cleanser (177ml / 6.0 fl.oz) tube nightly. It's an excellent cleanser infused with retinol. Cleanses all the impurities away from skin and reach deep down into pores.
Secondly, after pat dry with a facial towel, my toner I'm using the PIXI retinol tonic (250ml / 8.5 fl.oz) bottle with a few facial cotton puffs. After that, I'll rinse away with water and pat dry my face again.
The last step is using RoC's Retinol Correxion Deep Wrinkle serum (30ml / 1 fl.oz) pump bottle just 4 pumps for my entire face. This Deep Wrinkle serum works miracle, it really proven visible results in diminishing fine lines (for young adults) wrinkles (for older or mid age adults), some even said this serum made people looked like they just had a botox ... It's really damp excellent, coz the retinol's strength is very concentrated and it firms up skin. The only disadvantage of this serum is, it can be quite drying to skin. So I'd pair it with RoC's Retinol Correxion Line Smoothing serum (30ml / 1 fl.oz) pump bottle just a few drops, 3 - 4 drops and applies it on top of Deep Wrinkle serum for more moisturizing effects.
These whole retinol night regiment really delivered clear visible results, I thought was perhaps my "mirror illustration", so I use my phone's camera and snap photos of my bare skin without make up in the morning, and certainly without any photography filtrations or those selfie photos edits. Just to see more clearly, and camera won't lie ... Indeed, skin is so much firmer, plum, radiant, glowing and that translucent clear.
No more discoloration, uneven skin tone, hyperpigmentation, even some old sun damaged spots are faded.
Besides all these, the biggest miracle is, retinol helps to tightens or shrink large pores, reducing oiliness, clearing off all the blackheads or sebums in pores, keeping pores clean. This is really something I'm totally amazed.
And over such a long term of using RoC's retinol, I find I'm no longer in need to exfoliate my skin. Like during in the younger days of 20's, a physical scrub seems like a must have item or either a peeling gel type of exfoliants. Long term of using retinol, I find I don't need scrubs or peeling gels anymore, all the old dead skin cells are naturally "push up" to the epidermis layer, it just needs to be wash away or during using the PIXI retinol tonic, wipe away with a cotton puff. Skin is naturally smooth and tender.
I'm in my mid 40's, thou retinol can't or impossible to bring back youthful skin that looks like in the 20's, but at least I do looked like I'm in my 30's ...
This, I often get lots of questions by friends, colleagues and others on what I'd did to my skin, was it laser treatments, hyaluronic injections or botox ...
None of these above I'd ever did to my skin. Ain't worth to take the risks to botox, or laser treatments, partly is way too costly, once you can't afford anymore, the after effects after stopped down, oh gosh, skin will be way worse than before.
So this is my nightly retinol routine. I'm only using RoC's retinol. The one you had the Cerave Resurfacing Retinol Serum (blue label) or the Cerave Skin Renewing Retinol Serum (purple label), these both I'd tried before too.
Honestly, can't compare with RoC's retinol's strength, very mild.
During the day or in the morning, since using retinol can be quite drying for skin, it's time to 'put back' some hydrations.
I'll go for the most simplest, either hyaluronic acid or some days if it's too drying, ceramide is my other alternative choice. For hyaluronic acid, I'm using the most simplest ingredient's range by Hada Labo, pure hyaluronic acid with no harsh chemicals, no alcohol or perfume. Ceramides I'm using Cerave's Hydrating Cleanser and it's Moisturizing Cream or the Daily Moisturizing Lotion.
I'm at South East Asia region, over here we have a very popular sunscreen brand - Sunplay. It's totally rated 10/10, the best, and it's fragrance free, alcohol free, and doesn't leave a white cast on skin. It's none oily, greasy or sticky type. It literally just like a thin velvet film on skin, perfect for any makeups on top of it.
For sunscreen, certain days if the weather is not too hot, I'm using the Sunplay Clear Water with SPF 50 PA++++, it's a hydrating sunscreen.
If certain days the sun is extremely hot and humid, I'll go for the same brand Sunplay Ultra Shield SPF 130 PA++++. It's the highest coverage of this brand Sunplay. And South East Asia is in the middle of equator, the hottest region of the world.
But the Cerave's Hydrating Cream to Foam Cleanser I find it ain't that great compare to it's original, the Cerave Hydrating Cleanser. It literally felt like cleansing skin with ceramide lotions, extremely hydrating if compared with the cream to foam cleanser.
And Ordinary's range of serums I find it's totally junks. If you insist to use a good serum or essence, I'll highly recommend you to try out Kosé Infinity Advance Moisture Concentrate serum powered by Rice Power Extract™ 50ml / 1.7 fl.oz or it's original the Kosé's ONE by Kosé Moisture Rice Power™ Hyrating Boosting Serum.
Or another great range is the Kosé Astalution Wrinkle Essence 30ml / 1 fl.oz.
Kosé's Astalution is powered by Asthaxanthin concentrate, another great anti oxidant for skin, simply better than others like Vitamin E, C, EGF, FGF, Peptides ... Whatever that is commonly known in the market.
These brands of products I'd just mentioned, if you're unsure, you can google it up.
But ever since using retinol for such a long term, it clears up my skin's complexion to extremely excellent. Nowadays, when or if I'm going out, I don't even use much makeup products like in the 20's.
All I need is, my Sunplay's sunscreen, some loose powder, eye brown pencil and a tinted lip balm.
I don't need to cover up my natural skin, like those makeup tutorial channels showed, applies primer, concealer, colour corrector, liquid foundation, pressed powder or loose powders, then blusher, follows on doing all on eyes area again with eye shadow primer, eye shadows, liquid eye liner, mascara ... Gosh ... So heavily covered up.
The only time if I need to do such heavy makeups, unless I'm attenting some formal occasions. Just like my profile photo's. Otherwise, if normal daily, I just stay with the most simplest and basics. And easier for me to remove my light makeup of the day, by just using Shiseido's Senka Perfect Liquid makeup remover.
It's texture when pour out, it looks and feels like oil, transparent, alcohol, fragrance and oil free. But don't need to use a cotton puff to do the cleansing. Just pour out the needed amount, and massage it with both palms, directly rub onto dry face and massage it over the entire face.
It's so powerful in removing off everything, even waterproof mascara or sunscreens.
It's not an oil, it's just a liquid, but feels like oil. Once all parts of face is rub by it, the next thing is just rinse away with water. Skin is not even oily at all, coz it's not oil, just liquid. Follows on certainly with facial cleanser and the rest.
I'd even tried it removing the 'once well-known' Peripera lip tint, and everything just gone ... Imagine the lip tint is just like some lip marker, it tinted the lips with colors. Normal micellar water can't even removed it away. But with this Shiseido's Senka Perfect Liquid, never is a problem for anything types of cosmetic or makeups. And doesn't even need to do double cleansings like some other channels showed, using example the Banila Co.'s makeup remover balm, after message and remove all the makeups, then again follows up using a micellar makeup remover water. This Sheseido's Senka range makeup remover is just perfect, totally 10/10.

You can use the ones she showed daily but if you broke out it may just be too strong for your skin. Some Derms recommend like 3-5% niacinamide but the Ordinary’s is 10%. Try starting out with something that has it in it like a moisturizer to work yourself up to it.
