Speechless at how excellent this is. As per another commenter but for the mention of "High School" one would have assumed this was a professional choir. Brilliantly done everyone involved. Thank you.
I came here directly from hearing Voces8 sing this. The precision and beauty of your harmonies compare quite favorably and if High School wasn't in your name no one would know. If anything, your high soprano has a little more delicate tone than Voces8 "Tall Girl". Emma Kirkby, watch out! Hat's off to Mr. Hanson.
Matt, I am like a number of other folks who listen to good choral stuff on RUclips. I had a background in choral music in high school and college (Stranahan High School "Singers" under Peggy Barber 65-66 and The University Singers at the University of Florida 68-70). Once you come to love this kind of music, that love never stops. I'm 74 now. Anyhow, I just wanted to tell you that you are producing the best sound from a group of high school singers that I've ever heard. Tell these kids please that they're knocking it out of the park.
beautiful rendition especially considering how young you all are, superb, well done, big shout out to the three amazing guys, fantastic, and Clara, OMG, perfect solo, a name for the future I'm sure, would give Eleonore from Voces8 a run for her money!
This is the first time I've heard this song and I am BAWLING. It's so beautiful and SO SAD!! Wonderfully sung guys!! Well done! Posting lyrics below for my own use.
Lully, lulla, thou little tiny child Bye, bye, lully, lullay, thou little tiny child Bye, bye, lully, lullay Oh, sisters too, how may we do For to preserve this day? This pore yongling for whom we do sing "Bye, bye, lully, lullay"? Lully, lulla, thou little tiny child Bye, bye, lully, lullay, thou little tiny child Bye, bye, lully, lullay Herod, the king in his raging Charged he hath this day His men of might, in his own sight All young children to slay Lully, lulla, thou little tiny child Bye, bye, lully, lullay, thou little tiny child Bye, bye, lully, lullay That one is me, poor child for thee And ever morn and may For thy parting, nether say nor sing Bye, bye, lully, lullay Lully, lulla, thou little tiny child Bye, bye, lully, lullay, thou little tiny child Bye, bye, lully, lullay
Oh my goodness! This is utterly superb. I have sung it in company with really good singers, but we never managed to get it to your standard. Your performance is very close to that of Voces8; that's really saying something.
This is copied from the original this is people just miming, you would think with all the effort they have put into this video that they would have had a go themselves rather than just miming, just listen to the original and then listen to this I'm just saying it's disappointing, I'm sure they could have done it without mining
This really is beautiful. People 1, Covid 0. Nothing is going to stop us singing. It is the language of our souls
😍🥰
Guys, this is the second time I have preferred your rendition to those of some of the top adult professional choirs out today. Bravo..!!!
Excellent done! Great job.

Me, too! I came here directly from Voces8! On Good Friday.
The tall girl (Andrea) did not do the solo for this song in VOCES8. Eleanore (the shorter blond one) did it.
Beautiful, thanks 💜

Brilliant rendition of a timeless classic
Amazing for anyone, but a high school choir? Kudos.

Not me stumbling on this 7 months later. These people won covid choir singing. What audio synching.
Bravo, tutti!
Beautiful, thank you. Especially to the lads.
My word. This is gorgeous. Amazing control, smooth blend and crystalline tone. Well done!
This is so incredibly beautiful and brilliant!! I hope you will all pursue choral music after high school! It is such a profound community!

Hi, can you please tell me if the adult director is singing the bass part at times or all the time..? Thanks
YEES
You should sing Dies Irae
Good version, but I caught myself thinking- what's with all girls long hair being down and in front-is this the thing? 😉
