- Finally! It's have been like 2 mouths since Garland came out. Thank goodness that they will release a new character more frequently from now on.
As you probably guess. Kefka is everywhere now. (You can see some video with 6 Kefka spamming voice chat at each other, It's freakin nightmare)
For appearance and animation, I'm giving it 10/10. perfect representation of Kefka. But moveset ain't as crazy as old games. But still damn fun to watch.

Fun Fact: Heartless Angel originally came from Kefka during battle in his god mode before Sephiroth, but due to Sephiroth's popularity Kefka was a bit overshadowed and so does this Fact.
Being honest, I don't think it was FF7 Sephiroth who made the attack one of his most iconics, but Kingdom Hears.
Both FF6 and 7 Heartless Angel is kinda like the Raise spell where an angel sprinkle some shit on you and you get back up, but in Kingdom Hearts you had all that preparation for *pffffff* Sin Harvest that made it much more impactfull because it also ate your entire MP bar, and menu-ing on an action RPG while also keeping on the move gave the spell more notoriety.
At least it's my opnion.
Most of Kefka's moves involve him dancing. I guess he must be Dancing Mad.
Ok I'm about 56 seconds in and notice Kefka uses his feet to cast Blizzaga. He is now my favourit character.

Man, did you that you've been the de facto guide maker for this game all for English speakers all during it's arcade times? Even now, I'm making plans by going to your guides and checking out the detailed abilities of different characters and figuring what EX skills would work best with them.

Not true, Kefka was the first boss to have that ability, it was one of his signature moves in the boss fight against him in the end of VI. So if anything, Kefka is getting his signature move back after Sephiroth stole it for so long.
True, though Sephiroth made it famous. And Sephiroth has used it way more than Kefka. Wouldn't surprise me if they both get Heatless Angel as an EX Skill. Just with different effects.

eh I prefer Kefka keeps it for him self, he made the move, just because Seph made it famous doesn't change the fact it isnt something unique to him.
Not to start an argument but it actually isn't unique to him. A lot of dragons in FFVI also used the move. I think another enemy used it as well but I can't remember what it was :( Though I wouldn't be mad if it was unique to Kefka in this game. Sephy could get his one-winged form as an EX skill. That would be pretty damn cool :)
It shouldn't be much of an issue to be honest. Lots of moves are repeated between characters (e.x. Holy, Flare, Ultima, etc...). Each character seems to have his/her own twist on the moves. Sephiroth can have Heartless Angel too, but instead of an EX move, give it to him as an HP move that can be charged to drain Brave as well as inflict HP damage. That along with a visual tweak would be sufficient in differentiating the two uses.
Even them, Heartless Angel, A.K.A. Fallen One isn't an exclusive move to Kefka. Another 5 enemies have this attack too.
Amazing! Favorite villain of all time. Definitely different than he was in older Dissidias, though. Not that I'm complaining, he looks sick!

Fun Fact: "Palazzo" means "clown" and "palace" in different languages.
Funny Fact: The Engrish word for "clown" is "crown."
In portuguese it's palhaço for clown (you could read it as paliasso, but the pronounciation is a bit different) and palácio for palace (it's read just as it's written, the accent there is used to define the strong syllable, so you must emphasize the LA, like paLAcio). Yeah, both words are pretty close to Palazzo.

Fake core is a great close range trap. If you see anyone charging at you set one down and it will either go off on the foe or make them stop and give you a moment to set up your next magic attack, or hide an HP attack.

By the way I wanted to ask you, does the characters will have like the previous Dissidia Games other Bravery/HP attacks that you can earn by level up ? Or in your moveset detail all of their skills are shown ? I'm afraid this is not enought B/HP attacks... In the previous games characters had more than this ! (Except for Yuna who had 1 attack per Command)

The best thing about this is that He retain he's playstyle as a very mobile and hard to hit type of character since on the psp era that's how you play him, like spamming those 4 times precision jumps LMAOO
I'm really happy about Kefka bringing many common status effects into Dissidia. As far as I know, it used to just be Poison, even in the PSP games. I am quite pleased with how Kefka turned out.
Do you think "Kappa" is supposed to be "Frog"? Reading the effect, I'm not sure what it would be.

Terrance Savage unfortunately they replaced the ex-gauge with summon gauge. no more ex-bursts so disappointed I really wanted to see kefka god form in high quality graphics :(

Bogyman Noobman Well, Terra, Zidane and Kuja still have a way to get into their Trance forms, so they could have probabely done it somehow. It is not a game breaker for me, but this is a deciding factor in which of my favorite two FF villains I am going to use as a main "Kefka and Kuja". Definately picking Kuja now.

Yeah, that's saddening. The thing I loved most about him in Dissidia was how his close range HP attack would go god form while stabbing with those spiked wings, and his voice would turn pure evil out of nowhere. Was so good.
Still, he looks like he got buffed considerably for being such a strong char already. Kinda crazy on their part. I'm curious if you can still get 2-3 Firaga balls out at the same time before they converge on a person. That pressure used to be so rigged and was the key to a lot of his success. As long as he still has that, they can do no wrong.

most kefka users (like me, here in dissidia arcade), normally use/spam hyper drive and trine.One of his cons is he's very very slow and needs someone to help him in case he was surrounded... D: and i agree with that very hard to master. loland i love his victory pose and his chats (he's the only char as of now who can say hentai! lol 「変態、あいや、変身」)
And now let just imagine for a minute a fight with Kefka, Emperor and Ultimecia all three I guess one of these "What The Fuck is going on ?" kind of fight

Oh gosh… Forsaken can inflict Wound? In this type of game? It won't always be a big problem (what with the knockback and all that), but it will still be scary when a player suddenly finds themselves susceptible to one-shots from every opponent.

Hmmm... Kefka's Ex Skill's Silence is somewhat stronger than Trine's Silence because Heartless Angel's Silence can seal off the Characters' EXCLUSIVE EX SKILLS.

He's not really unpredictable anymore. I mean his attacks are pretty standard. Ya got two projectiles, two waves, three instant aoe, and a few utility spells, none of which are actually hard to dodge anymore. But hey, at least it's more interesting than golby
Now Kefka is out I'm seeing a small trend of one ally and one enemy from each game.
Now I'm wondering how will Final Fantasy Tactics play out. Weigraf is likely the enemy of Ramza. Or Vormav, however we've seen Weigraf fights more than Vormav as the final boss.
I can imagine Weigraf having access to Holy Knight abilities, and for his EX Skill. transform into Velius and summon Golem.
well, THAT is how the psp games roster is (well, from 1 to 10, at least). would wonder who would be each game antagonist(other than the chaos warrior)

I think that the fake core suits kefka more because even if it's a trap, it has this funny/prank side. I expect Emperor's traps to be more "serious" like crests
Hahaha all hail the trap master! Yeah, emperor is the gig for trap thingy. But it's not that bad to give other kind of traps to other characters as well, though. Let's just hope they make emperor with new interesting traps ;)

You don't, it switches back and forth while flying.
This just clicked in my head but does Wound apply before or after the HP hit, if its before HP damage i think that would be super strong
so if you hit for 2500 bravery and wound is applied before the damage, that would be a one shot kill, correct?
+Degyn Sefer Wound apply after hit. But not the way you think. Wound doesn't just reduce flat amount of max HP, it reduce both current HP and Max HP by percentage.
For example If forsaken null hit Terra with maximum heath which is 3500 if she doesn't use Alexander summon. If that forsaken deal 1750 damage, Terra will have a half of her hp which will normally be 1750/3500. But when Wound is apply. Her heath will be 1225/2450. It will go back to 1750/3500 when Wound effect run out.
So wound is less of a "free 1050 damage" but more of a "make his opponent easier to kill for a moment"

Why couldn't you translate the official names? Are they not listed in the game?
There are, but the problem is. It's not fitting or make sense when I translate directly.
If you familiar with kefka's attack name in 012. Their are all wacky and silly name like Waggle-Wobbly Firaga is the only bravery attack that was in the previous game.
For Japanese name. There are mostly use the same word twice before the name of the magic. Foe example, くねくねファイガ (Kune Kune Faiga) directly translate to Back and Forth Firaga, But it's not really fitting for kafka right? So they change to Waggle-Wobbly Firaga.
I did the same with other moves that have the same pattern of word to make it some what fitting (not that I really good at it). for comedy sake. Because when the English version comeout. It's going to be like neither mine nor directly translate version anyway.

But If you want rough translation, search for "kefka dissidia" and you will find it in the first site the pop up.
*+Trueblade Seeker* I noticed that you translated "Doki Doki Ultima" into "Boom Boom Ultima"... Just felt that I should point out that the first two Dissidia games had a traslation for "Doki Doki": Kefka's passive EX-Mode skill was called "Doki Doki Magikku", which was translated into "Exhilarating Magic"... I cannot help but feel like that's some kinda awful pun... "EX-hilarating Magic"... Well, I won't criticize either translation 'cuz, like you said, Kefka's attack names are kinda hard to translate... personally, I won't ever be able to translate "Doki Doki" into anything else but "Heart-Throbbing"...

Sephiroth took a lot, visually, from Kefka's final form, the original Tri-winged angel. FF6 is a masterpiece, and there's a reason why Kefka is such a memorable villain to anyone who's played it. Check it out sometime!

EX burst has been changed to Summons. You go after cores in battle to fill up summon gauge now instead of EX.

Everything about him is a crazy mind game. Seriously he's hard to play and risky, but if you can land his heartless angel , oh man it's gonna be a rain of status ailments to opponents body.
I see they nerfed Forsaken -- looks like it acts a lot like Terra's Meltdown attack from the PSP games.
Ehhhhh the real nerf is that you only get one HP attack and if forsaken worked the same as in the other games, well kiss your chances of winning goodbye. Also Unlike Terra's meltdown this sucker has a crazy good lag time and AOE I've caught 3 players at once in it. So long as the attack hits ANYTHING it will lag for about 2 seconds in the area.

well it's more of a kappa (because of the kappa head) but i guess in the english version it's toad effect. I prefered the new kefka than before (funnier than before. lol)
FFVI also had the 'imp' effect, I wonder if that's what Kappa refers to instead of Toad?
Advent EVA Research on the FF Wiki shows that the status effect transformation in FFVI for Imp status is a kappa, so that is absolutely what it is.

kappa is actually a mythcal creature here in japan which believed it's found in swamps or ponds. and they like cucumbers. lol
FFIV even have PIG effect who transform your character become DAMN PIG.
