    My bass drum is too dry. It doesn't swing back how can i fix it and make it smooth?

    What type of oil or grease is preferred for the kick drum pedal parts?

      I found out that the bearings used in most pedals are the same bearings as in skateboards. And since maintainance is a huge deal in the skateboard community there is a vast number of cleaning and relubing tutorials for those bearings.
      I personally use sewing machine oil or gun oil because they are nice and thin and only need a few drops. Just make sure not to bath your parts in oil since excess lubricant tends to accumulate dust and grime which is a pain to get off.
      Stay away from WD40 though. That stuff is not a lubricant, it is a water displacer that gets water out of your parts after you degreased them with watery soapy solutions but you still need to relube your part after the WD40 evaporated.
