Akathist to the Theotokos

- We were blessed to venerate this icon at St. Mary of Egypt in Roswell, GA. Father Alexander, of blessed memory, also blessed our prayer rope and soaked up some of the myrrh with it.
This “Akathist to the Theotokos” was sung later before our copy of the Iveron Icon along with that blessed prayer rope.
We have learned there is an Akathist to the Iveron Icon, this is not that Akathist, but we hope to one day record that as well.

What a blessing to be able to venerate this special ikon in person! Beautiful chanting.
Truth in advertising: we venerated the actual Hawaiian icon and later sang this before a copy of her icon. However a few years ago we did sing this same Akathist before the Kursk Root Icon with the attending priest. It was one of the greatest blessings of our lives.
Yes, do a recording of the Iveron akathist. And also if you could find the time to do St. Demetrios.
My favorite Akathist by far. I've memorized about 1/4 of it, it's a long one. Good work on this one.

This isn't the Iveron icon Akathist. You just did the regular main akathist to the Theotokos again.
Wait a second. There’s an Akathist for this icon? We were aware of the joy of all who sorrow but not one for the Hawaiian Iveron.
If you have a link or info to where we can find that please share. In the mean time we renamed this to avoid any confusion. So glad to know there’s an Akathist for this amazing icon.
Now I understand! I saw this video pop up the other day and when searching for it (under Iveron Ivon) I couldn't find it and became frantic. Thank God it's here ☦️
