I think the "spiritual guide" is a reference to the fact that the tools used to determine whether or not students use ChatGPT is very unpredictable. For example, some tools consider "delve" a word that makes it very likely to be written by ChatGPT, despite it being a fairly popular word. An example of this going wrong is when somebody put the 10 commandments or the US Constitution into this AI-spotting tool and it showed 90%+ likelihood of them being written by ChatGPT.

The issue with AI is people don't want to use their brains. You could do so much bettrr but we've become comfortable with just mailing it in.
