It's fun to watch these international videos! I just picked up a 2012 Liberty Limited KK. In the U.S.A the KK isn't considered a "real" jeep" so nobody posts cool videos of what it can really do.

The stock standard Toyota Hilux sold here has finally caught up with the KK for capability and these were first released in 2008. Funny how an out of production "not a real Jeep" was better than the most popular SUV sold down under. I'd like to see an offroad comparison with the new Hilux.

I am from South Africa, I have had 3 Jeeps, KJ, KK and a WK2. Out of the 3 the KK was my favourite and the most well balanced car between on and off road(and I am in the market currently for another)The WK2 was lbviously the nicest to drive with all the bells and whistles but I could never get myself to take a ZAR800K vehicle on an off road track. Only adventure done was snow in Lesotho in 2015 and some mountain trips in Drakensberg South Africa but nothing over a grade 2 obstacle. KK in my opinion is the most awesome of the 3 though I have tried a level 4 obstacle with my KJ once and succeeded which was awesome. But then again when you dont live in the mountains its pointless to have a rugged offroader. I prefer a good blend
Awesome video guys. You have now convinced me even more.

I'm thinking an LSD would interfere with the already very capable traction control. There are so many things to buy to modify a 4wd, no point wasting $ on what already works great. I'd suggest the TJM / Hannibal roof rack as it has a full length extruded alloy rail that replaces the plastic Jeep one. Also the rack has 6 mounting brackets, is strong but lightweight and there are heaps of accessories for mounting tyres, tents, fuel cans, axe, etc...

It's a good display of the Jeep traction control at work despite the lack of flex in the suspension. This Cherokee has a CRDStu 3" lift with custom springs to handle constant heavy load, but on this trip the Jeep is lightly loaded and the front sway bar was not disconnected when traversing the rutted sections. Plans are in place to mount a General 4x4 Co bull bar, custom rear drawer system, and a TJM/Hannibal roof rack to carry the spare tyre and roof top tent (all together heavy). Note also th

The Jeep Liberty (KK), or Jeep Cherokee (KK) outside North America, is a compact SUV that was produced by Jeep. ... For its followup, the name of Liberty was retired; the next generation restored the name of "Cherokee".
