Thank you for such great footage! I have the same Jeep and been learning what it’s capable of so I love seeing this! I can’t believe the work it did! Makes me feel even better about having this Jeep. Thanks again!
It's fun to watch these international videos! I just picked up a 2012 Liberty Limited KK. In the U.S.A the KK isn't considered a "real" jeep" so nobody posts cool videos of what it can really do.
The stock standard Toyota Hilux sold here has finally caught up with the KK for capability and these were first released in 2008. Funny how an out of production "not a real Jeep" was better than the most popular SUV sold down under. I'd like to see an offroad comparison with the new Hilux.
I am from South Africa, I have had 3 Jeeps, KJ, KK and a WK2. Out of the 3 the KK was my favourite and the most well balanced car between on and off road(and I am in the market currently for another)The WK2 was lbviously the nicest to drive with all the bells and whistles but I could never get myself to take a ZAR800K vehicle on an off road track. Only adventure done was snow in Lesotho in 2015 and some mountain trips in Drakensberg South Africa but nothing over a grade 2 obstacle. KK in my opinion is the most awesome of the 3 though I have tried a level 4 obstacle with my KJ once and succeeded which was awesome. But then again when you dont live in the mountains its pointless to have a rugged offroader. I prefer a good blend Awesome video guys. You have now convinced me even more.
I have a 08 kk manual and its fun a little 2.5 lift and tires i do a lil trail riding nothing crazy my kids love it when I dump the clutch it moves . My daily driver to work and fishing on weekends I have a new car that I barely use because we kinda like the mud and out doors!! I don't treat it like my old cherokee that thing was a tank and only meant for the woods
@@AussieFourWheelers Yep I am not your typical Seppo, just did a 2.5in lift kit on my 2011 and love it. can't wait to get some extra $$ and weld in a new roof and get rid of the skylsider and add a good safari rack.

I'm thinking an LSD would interfere with the already very capable traction control. There are so many things to buy to modify a 4wd, no point wasting $ on what already works great. I'd suggest the TJM / Hannibal roof rack as it has a full length extruded alloy rail that replaces the plastic Jeep one. Also the rack has 6 mounting brackets, is strong but lightweight and there are heaps of accessories for mounting tyres, tents, fuel cans, axe, etc...
Great video! Now I know how capable it is! Looks like there not much wheels articulation, especially in the front when it is lifted, but traction control works amazingly well!
It's a good display of the Jeep traction control at work despite the lack of flex in the suspension. This Cherokee has a CRDStu 3" lift with custom springs to handle constant heavy load, but on this trip the Jeep is lightly loaded and the front sway bar was not disconnected when traversing the rutted sections. Plans are in place to mount a General 4x4 Co bull bar, custom rear drawer system, and a TJM/Hannibal roof rack to carry the spare tyre and roof top tent (all together heavy). Note also th
Do you all know what the jeep is? Why the jeep was chosen for the name? The history is pretty cool 😎! The jeep is a character that can go anywhere and do anything!!! ❤

C'est sympa de mettre en vedette un Commander!!!!!! C'est un véhicule attachant et très efficace en Tout-Terrain. Dommage qu'il n'a pas eu le succès auquel il pouvait légitimement prétendre.
awsome video.... where did you get your lift kit from??? i am looking to do mine now... all i can find is a 2inch lift.....was there any other mods you had to do for the 3inch?? after my lift i want to order one of those bullbars from uneek.... then my black kk limited is set!!!!
Here in Brazil, it’s called Cherokee Sport. I would like to buy one, I have a 95’ but I would like to change for such car 2012, what do Americans or any other Nationality think? How is this Jeep Liberty in your Countries?
@Aussie Four Wheelers (Hemi4WD) Hi, I know it has been a while since you uploades this video but could you please make a list or name what you did to this jeep? it would be really helpfull. Thanks and great vid!!!
Hi Fercho, you can find out more about this particular Jeep here: www.ausjeepoffroad.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=198 It doesn't look like that anymore but still has the same licence plate. Hope that helps?
The Jeep Liberty (KK), or Jeep Cherokee (KK) outside North America, is a compact SUV that was produced by Jeep. ... For its followup, the name of Liberty was retired; the next generation restored the name of "Cherokee". Are all these Off Road ready? Or are these modified? I have a 2009 Liberty ( from canada) Id like to drive through a stream too!
Aussie Four Wheelers gotcha , most be a North America thing lol all our libertys(Cherokee ) are all having transmission problems and heater cores going out in the first like 100,000 miles
Just a modified antenna bracket bought at an auto store. Don't recommend the location, better to place further up near the back of the bonnet where the plastic trim is.
Have a jeep Cherokee 2010 starting problem and kill mode kicks in going up hill did replace two feulpumps gloplugs and computer still have to start with spray can start y bastert dealer can't fix it any ideas cheers jo
Aussie Four Wheelers it's a diesel have done second opinion they think now that the central midrailfeul line ??? Repair cost approx $4000 those that sound right cheers jo

Glad you enjoyed it and hope you enjoy your Jeep adventures 😊
The Liberty/Cherokee is an underrated off-road beast!
Guys the Liberty was marketed as the Cherokee outside US Markets.
Love how capable these KK's are!

I'll give you reliability but capability, not even close.
This is still a good Jeep, the new KL is just a lifted Alfa Romeo Giulietta...
I just bought one myself and its crazy how underestimated they are when Toyota Prados in the same condition and kms are going for 3x the price!

They should have kept the Cherokee name in the US instead of calling it the Liberty. It looks a lot like an updated XJ would look.
Yeah, true 👍
At least more so than the earlier "cutesy" liberty did.
Yeah but it was only sold in the us as the Liberty, the world knew the liberty and Patriot by the Cherokee title
They did keep the Cherokee name in the U.S. the guy that made the video just called a liberty a Cherokee.

Cool. Been wanting to learn Jeep Offroading
Great hill climbs! Did you have to use 4WD Low and leave it in 2nd gear? I have the KK Limited > sometimes struggling with hill climbs :-(
Thanks dude!
Oh never mind I read the comment just before mine. But it's weird they do that sense this model is a couple grand more money.
I think you have the same suspension as I have on my KK. I have 2 inch OME (Old Man Emu) with Bilstein's. What size tire do you run?
245/70R16
That's a Jeep liberty, I've got one right now lol
His is lifted atleast a couple inches
Yeah 2"
That's so strange that they would have it called the Cherokee, instead of the Liberty.
It's a Cherokee everywhere else but North America
At 00:26 you should turn the wheels a lil bit to the left, because you were close to land on roof ;)
Not even close and I'd turn right instead if it was.
i heard they were gonna call it a cherokee but after 9/11 they called it the liberty.
Great video man
Usama Said Thanks Usama, I'm glad you liked it.
Any mods to this KK other than a 2 inch lift??
Great vid!
Have it got any kind of differential blocker?
No lockers, it's got traction control.
Do you run on LPG, otherwise whats that black spot for, at the left of the rear bumper?
You're right, good eyes ;)
Is this the 2" Daystar lift? It looks nice, but looks like it rides stiff.
No, not Daystar. It's proper coil lift. Could be higher rated coils.
Got one like it exactly
Impressive! What size tires you running? They look bigger than the 245/75r16 everyone says is the max without rubbing.
They are 245/70R16
Body lift or ammo + suspension kit?
No body lift
Its selec trac?
How much did it cost you?
Is that stock suspension and tires?
No, it has a 2" lift and 31s.
was this a stock kk? no lift kit?
nice vid man
So where abouts were you driving?
This was at Rydal
La música no dejo escuchar el sonido real de la acción

No problems that I know of.
Aussie Four Wheelers gotcha , most be a North America thing lol all our libertys(Cherokee ) are all having transmission problems and heater cores going out in the first like 100,000 miles
What bracket was used to mount the antenna?
Just a modified antenna bracket bought at an auto store. Don't recommend the location, better to place further up near the back of the bonnet where the plastic trim is.
Wonderful except for one thing, that’s a Jeep Liberty Sport and not a Jeep Cherokee, two different vehicles and two different weight classes.

Yes, 2" lift.

Can someone please tell me what KK stands for?

It's the "internal" model designation, e.g. KJ = the previous model (shape), etc.
liberty

is the car stock or u got a lift kit installed ?
2 inch lift
What type 4x4 system does this KK have?
Selec-Trac II
This is increrble
Is this Liberty slightly lifted? Or
Yeah
how many inches and what tire size?
2 inches and 245/70R16
Does this 4 wheel drive system transfer power to the tires with traction? Looks like it
Yes, it uses traction control.
What lift do you have?
It's a 2" lift.
Great video that your title says this is a Cherokee??
Yeah it's badged as a Cherokee outside North America.
This is a stock Jeep Cherokee kk?? Nice video !!
It has 2 inches of lift
