Is there a uk wild man? In Search Of Sasquatch - a.k.a the european bigfoot.
For many years people have been in search of sasquatch a.k.a bigfoot. This hairy wild man is believed to be an upright walking humanoid that walks freely in the pacific northwest, and many other parts of the world. But one place that you would least expect to find people in search of sasquatch is in the uk, however! thousands of people each year come forward to report having bigfoot encounters or even sasquatch evidence. Come join me on this mini bigfoot documentary as we explore the possobility of a sasquatch in the uk
Huge thank you to Chris Turner & Andy Mcgrath for allowing me to use their voice overs during this video.

I dunno about a "big foot" but i am born and bred right in the middle of the afan forest park in the upper afan and i can tell you that while our pine and larch forest isn't that old the oak groves and yews etc are ancient, and theres plenty of places for things to hide. Ive had strange things happen to me a few times over the years that i still have no explanation for. Really Weird noises and in some areas you get an overwhelming sense that something isnt right. Ive had my old working dogs get panicked and scared amd refuse ti enter some places. I'm and outdoorsman and ive walked the mountains all my life so i know the sounds of our "normal" wildlife too. People have also seen large cats here over the years too. All I'm trying tu say is even tho the uk is small dont be so certain we know everything that lurks in the deepest parts of woods and forest's lol. After all every single myth and legend had an element of truth in it to begin with.

Just found you mate good stuff I will keep watching through. I'm a very outdoors person and have 20 spent year wild camping across Britain most southwest and twice have had a strange sighting was walking past the quarry in w.s.m with a group of friends and. As going up steps there was a eight ft stone wall with bushes alover it and a large black animal id say Labrador size jumped off the wall over my head and a friend in front of me on to the stone steps and then over the fence opposite barely touching the ground like a bunch ball we was all very shocked to say the least. and another ti me about two years stone and my partner was walking our dogs through a forest in South Wales along a track and beside us it sloped down and the trees had been cut year or so before then was old growth about a hundred yards past and as we was walking my partner pointed out a tree or two in to the woods was a stag dark dark brown walking upright on it gone legs and we watched it as it continued to walk on nine legs until it disappearing shambles and trees was small stay and very weird and the dogs went into alert more and was on edge I tried to follow but of course noluck

A mistake a lot of people make is thinking that they are a resident species , they are visitors that dip in and out of our reality , there’s not enough forestry or food sources to keep them here permanently , there is in North America so they are still living there mostly full time .

rivercarper01 hard to really explain specifically here but when I bushwack (off trail hike) I seem to frequently find cleared spots with upside down trees, small 2-4” trees. Like it’s marking something. Found a cleared area about 10ft in diameter with a strange rock in the middle of it once, middle of nowhere. Just mostly things that are out of place. Heard plenty of tree knocks with no one around. I’ve found sticks in geometric patterns on the ground and tree structures. Nothing that would prove anything, just things I can’t explain.

Hey O Ben. Sasquatch stuff-yeehaw! As a child I watched a program called Mutual of Omaha where the host described and interacted with all sorts of critters. Of course bears were included. This is how, when I saw Bigfoot, I knew it was not a bear. I had no clue exactly what it was, just that I had never seen it before. You're right about the tree structures. I found one recently and to tell you the truth, I was less impressed than I thought I'd be. Too great a chance that by now humans are creating some of those structures. There is also the theory that all six inhabitable continents have a type of Bigfoot/wild man, yeti etc..What will it take for these beings to be recognized by science?? Obviously more evidence than we normally accept as empirical evidence. Giant pandas and mountain gorillas were validated with the same evidence we now have for Bigfoot. Photos, eye witness reports and various types of DNA. But in this instance that is not enough. Why is our governments leaving us at risk in the forests? It may be that these beings are truly more powerful and advanced than we are. Humans don't want to be second in command. Btw, I felt like you were being flanked and saw some interesting dark spots in the forest. Could be paradolia

I saw what I conclude to be one on the road between Muston and Flixton in October '22.
It was about 7ish and just turned round in Muston to head back to Staxton to get an oil change done, was doing 55-60 and got round a lil corner and there was what looked like a 6.5' bloke covered in twigs on the kurb of the other side of the road. Logic tells me in that circumstance that a person would just stay and wait for a 1.5 ton death machine to pass but instead it ended up in front of me keeping pace at 3-4 metres to which I slowed down to about 45 coz I didnt want to kill anything but never touched it then just dissappeared.

Brilliant video Ben. Love that feeling of part excitement and part fear when you think someone or something is watching you. As you know forests can play games with your mind especially when it's windy and the vision you have in your brain of a wild man standing in front of you is spine chilling.
Hopefully someone somewhere in the UK will have concrete evidence of a sighting of a wild man by means of video or photo as law tje of averages says it will happen one day if the wild man is for real. Hopefully it will be one of us that comes across him. Harwood in Autumn for me 👍

Gosh I really enjoyed this Ben, thank you!
What you say is very perceptive, pertinent and right to the point! Good for you!
As you know this is my area of special interest!
I was devastated recently when both Andy McGrath and Chris Turner both took to video and said they could find no evidence at all to support the claim that a European Wildman or Sasquatch existed in the UK. The release of that video unfortunately did a great deal of damage to the heart and spirit of the many grass roots people, like you and I, who are having great fun exploring and filming in the woods in the UK and Europe.
McGrath and Turner are of course perfectly entitled to express their opinion. I would never want to prevent them from exercising their freedom of speech. However it did sting because they had been such high profile spokesmen in this field in the UK. Very visible and very willing to court publicity frequently to provoke debate and to promote videos and book sales.
However it is always difficult to hear someone you respect state that your premise is a false one.
I on the other hand am content to say what Sherlock Holmes says "I do not know yet, I have insufficient data".
I am leaning towards the hypothesis that the Sasquatch in the US are creating tree structures. Perhaps as a 3D sign language in wood or as sign posts/ route markers and as territorial markers and perhaps also creating the structures just for fun, who knows?
Extrapolating on from that hypothesis I see the same things in the woods of Utah and Colorado that I see in my woods here in France and for example in the woods that GPE videos in the UK.
    Why is that?
I accept that a number of structures can be mis-identified and may be bush craft however others are much more vague and ill-defined and as such they are very curious to me and to the other grass roots explorers out there .
So could it be that we have a European Wildman in our woods that is akin to the American Sasquatch in many ways ?
I don't know......I need more data so I go out exploring and filming just in case!
    fondest regards from Deb

The uk bigfoot definitely exists and not just in rural areas. Many unsuspecting people will have been very close to them without knowing it whilst being observed and they will show themselves occasionally when they choose to do so and they seem to have an ability of disappearing into thin air within seconds of being seen and or heard. They are way more intelligent than what we may think.

There's a wood near Rievaulx Abbey near Helmsley.....a few times in there I've been spooked so much I had to leave...was quite relieved when I found cat prints quite a bit bigger than a domestic 1..put my mind to rest it wasn't a bigfoot....i do watch my back now going in there though...👍

Still, a very creepy experience for you non the less 😳 I would certainly feel the same. If you still visit that area try to keep a camera on you and document anything that you may see or find 👌🏻👍🏻

There's so little woodland now in the UK to support of a population of giant ape type beings. I know they say about 94% of UK land isn’t urban, but the rural land is mainly open farmland, or upland more barren land with few trees... Why dont farmers/ country estate owners see these things... Its so hard to believe. If there are true bigfoot sightings, the creatures must be some inter dimensional travelers. Hence very little evidence found. But that is huge ask.... I mean what would be the mechanism for some ape man to jump through dimensions. There is no other know example of anything doing such.... it's a weird one... great vid though, new sub :)

Steve Sanderson I totally agree and I often think the same when I’m out in these places.
Some farmers do report seeing these strange beings/entity’s, I’m not even sure what I would call them to be honest but for me it’s all about getting out there into these areas of high strangeness and discussing these weird encounters with you guys because personally I do love the chase.
Is there something here? I’m not entirely convinced but I’m only one man & hundreds of other people appear to believe so
☺️ thank you so much for the sub it’s great to have you here.

Hi paul, your 100% right, there are tons of reports coming in from Scotland & I think the remoteness of the area and just the sheer size would be the perfect habitat assuming this thing is flesh and blood. 👍🏻🙏🏻

@@401files4 hi mate there must be something to it to many people seeing things I'm from the northeast UK they say we have no big cats in the UK.
Yet I have seen them personally on three separate occasions whilst out hunting at night

The British countryside is completely managed. There is no wilderness. Even the national parks are manicured . Landowners know the numbers of all the wildlife , because hunting is big business on the private estates.
Rural Britain is like one big husbanded Park. I’m a Sasquatch enthusiast and believer , but to say they are here in Britain is childish at best and fundamentally ignorant.
Everything in the Uk is private or national park and every inch is watched for poaching .
There are no Sasquatch in the Uk . Get over it.

    • @401files4
      @401files4  4 года назад +3

To assume that a Sasquatch is flesh and blood is also very ignorant. It could be extraterrestrial for all we know.
      I’m outdoors a hell of a lot.
I once spent two weeks wild camping and I never saw a single sole. Nobody knew I was there & I was in a bright green tent.
