Nostalgia much. It's been a while since I saw proper FPV glider video - from start to finish, from onboard cam with OSD, not overstabilized GoPro material and without annoying cuts and edits.
Nice flying. I used to fly Easy Star II with modified wings but it was in..... "analog" times and thermals were the best thing that could happen.

Great Video. Always happy to meet a fellow FPV thermal hunter. Subscribed!

The RC glider community are not use FPV yet, we are still few and that surprises me because it doesn't make sense to fly thermals line of sight once you've tried FPV.

@@dolmerfpv2109 I totally agree! Ten years ago I met guys flying expensive gliders line of sight. I was buffled with the restrictions you get when you have to see the glider to fly it. I bought a used 3.2meter Gracia and got it FPV. I still have it. Endless thermals, hours in the air. You can see it in my channel if you wish. Not a foam plane, an actual racing glider.

Great looking video and good music too. But I wish that you wrote more about the plane, how you built it. I wonder if this kind of aircraft could be adopted for different kind of surveillance like fire alarms and it could also been using as a relay for HAM radio, Metastatic radios. How long flight time do you have on this? Could it be prolonged with solar-charger for the electronics and maybe a small motor for help? Sorry for all the questions.

Thanks Leif. :) You are welcome to ask questions. It is a Volantex Ranger 2000 a glider with a pusher engine (Sunnysky X2216 1250kv) and 8x5 folded prop from Aeronaut. the purpose is to fly without using the engine and climb using thermals (It requires the right weather conditions) I can add a battery with 10000mah it will give approx. 2 hours flying time with approx. 40-50 km/h airspeed.
I have 3D printed parts for mounting a camera with servo for panorama (look right and left) which is controlled with either a slider on my radio or headtracker in my video goggles.
      find it here

It can also fly autonomously by staying on course or via waypoints. as security, it has RTH Mode (Return to home) and autonomously flies back to home if it loses signal. It is possible to add solar panels and others on youtube have done it on similar planes.
I have the option of having 700g more equipment with limited space, so only the imagination sets limits
It has Flight controller, GPS and Airspeed sensor, 900mhz Crossfire for the radio controller and Walksnail HD Pro with Walksnail VRX
