I saw Prof perform this live in Minneapolis in 2023 and it still gives me chills. The hometown shows are extra special, and even his mom was up in the balcony that night. He pours his heart and soul into this shit and he leaves it all out there on that stage. DO NOT sleep on seeing this man live!!
@@katiem704that new song he did on this last tour was really good and deep. I was at the show where he played it for the first time ever. He got all choked up and so did most of the crowd. Everyone was pretty much silent through the whole song and we were all just feeling it.
I bawl my eyes out EVERY SINGLE TIME I hear and watch this. That must have been SO HARD for him to relive while recording this. It hurts me to hear his sorrow. Loved your respectful reaction.
The versatility of this man blows my damn mind. I had no idea who he was and I have your reactions to thank for the introduction. When the time comes and you react to Fire Lessons, I highly recommend the live version also from the Powderhorn Suite sessions. Another layer of Prof and the beat is 🔥
Heck yes!!! I'm so happy to see this, I've been MIA on here for a minute but I'm delighted to come back and see that you reacted to this one!! I knew you'd be blown away! P is the man!! 😁😁😁 And you finally saw him live!! Yeesss! I've got a couple new artist recommendations for you that I think you will absolutely love and I hope you will do reactions for! Jeris Johnson toured with Ronnie and FIR and Blakswan is not only an amazing Drummer for Jeris but he is also a phenomenal independent artist with a fantastic catalog I know you will appreciate! I'd say start with "White Male" for Blakswan, he just released it, and either "When the Darkness Comes" or "Story of our Lives" for Jeris. You won't be disappointed!
So unique, so original, so emotionally charged, so raw and honest, only Prof can pull this off! It's more than a song, it's a confession! Love. Your reaction ❤
I love Prof. when I heard this one the first time it made me cry…every time since it makes me cry. It is so raw and vulnerable. Louisiana is another favorite slower emotional one of his. You mentioned it so I am going to find your reaction to it next. ❤❤❤
Aw why thank you, I'm glad you liked the reaction and vibed with me. Was definitely feeling something with this one. Come back as much as you'd like! :)
I cry every time I watch this. I love how he's so authentic and not afraid to share his feelings. He uses humor to deal with life and that's why his songs are hilarious. But I love it when he gives us a peek behind the curtain. He's got a new live version of Vulnerable God coming out tomorrow! Please react to it ❤ Louisiana is still my favorite, but Flower Boy is a close second.
I’m with you man - Squad Goals was my intro to Prof, followed by Horse… it was a while before I got into heavy Prof, but my God, as incredible as he is as a party/goofy rapper, I think his serious stuff might be even better. Thanks for the reaction!!
So happy that you did this one!!!! ( Absolutely the wrong choice if you didn’t want something too heavy… lol.) Tombstones is deep, but not at all like this, so don’t worry. 🤗💜💜
This is by far the most emotional Prof’song in my opinion, or just because it has a live version that I can see he’s so vunerable performing it that makes me feel this way If you want to go down this emo way, then I highly recommend Love like mine, Myself, Criminal, The Ending. Man he has plenty but those songs are my favourite, along with this one and Louisiana
I'm new here so I'm not sure what u have done yet by him, but I'm here for ALL of it! Prof is the GOAT! If u ever get the chance to see him live, I highly recommend it! Looking forward to seeing ur reaction to Tombstones! If u want more like this, check out Myself & Eulogy if u haven't already....
I think I have a Prof playlist you can click on and see, or just search Prof on the channel. But I need to organize my playlists soon at some point so I'm going to get on that! And yes, Tombstones is probably going to be next by him.
Prof wrote this song to his mum and 3 sisters as a call to address his families past issues, Profs father was succesful but he abused alcohol and would often become violent during bipolar episodes, his mother and father divorced and Prof lived with his father while his sisters went with their mum, Prof said it was an extremly tough time for him physically & mentally. After his father passing away he was really depressed because he had alot of unanswered questions and his mum and sisters wouldnt talk about their families issues.
That's sad, and so shitty. Parents never think about the kids beyond their own emotional state, but the damage can be so damn lasting. That's sad. Love he channeled this pain into his talents, though.
@@TheBlackSpeed Yeah it really is, as a kid you don’t take too much in emotionally, but when you reflect on past trauma as an adult it can really hit you, and the first people you look to confine with are your family. It’s a beautifully crafted song, he could have easily channeled his emotion into anger but instead wrote this heartfelt song. Listening back realising the “women in the back seat” is his Mum & Sisters saying everything will be okay just hit so damn hard. ❤️ ya Speed & ❤️ ya Prof
I totally get you about Squad Goals, I don't even listen to that one anymore at all. I feel like it's a track to appease the algorithm more than a real thing, IDK. Don't hate it, it's just... sugar.
Bro please react to "the ending" from the same session! Trust me if this is ur style! U will thank me! Also react to "myself" it's this whole other side of prof!
@@TheBlackSpeed Yes i did mean outside baby, sorry, it was late when i wrote that. If youve not doe Outside Baby yet youre in for a treat. theres 2 versions, the vid version has an outro verse taht the live one doesnt, both a great but the live version is amazing.

I was at that show too. Love the hometown shows. He did Heaven this year and it was so good live. That would be another slow song I would recommend.

I was there too and your RUclips videos of it are watched by me regularly.
Whatever direction... Having fun or digging into serious trauma, nobody goes harder than Prof. Nobody.
You're gonna want to check out Myself, Tombstones, Tough Boy
prof puts 100% of himself physically emotionally into every song and performance he’s amazing
Hell fuckin yeah!
I bawl my eyes out EVERY SINGLE TIME I hear and watch this. That must have been SO HARD for him to relive while recording this. It hurts me to hear his sorrow. Loved your respectful reaction.
When you said you were looking for something less heavy when deciding between Tombstones and Flower Boy 🥺
What an idiot I was lol. It messed me up.
I so love hyped up comedic Prof, but his serious songs feel like a part of my own soul. My life has not resembled his, but I do feel him.
I just love this track, honest, raw and beautiful! “High priced shoes” live at the gallery is another one well worth a look.
I love this song I love the video too!
" I don't think I'm ready for heavy" plays fellower boy
First thought.. you wanted to avoid a heavy topic…and you chose this? This is the damn heaviest!! ❤
Cause I didn't know, sue me! Lol. Was not ready for me what I got.
@@TheBlackSpeed neither was I the first time I saw this! I cried!!! It was sooooo heavy!!!
Wow, that’s a powerful piece of music. I understand your speechlessness!

Oh wow, I'm glad I can introduce you to him! Someone put me on him and it's only right I keep paying it forward.
Heaven live from the Gallery is a must-see. I love that song so much, and had to get the art that Prof made on the release.

Prof produces most of his music now. His older stuff has a variety of producers.
Idc he’s amazing!

When you said you avoided Tombstone for this because Tombstone sounded like a heavy song, I loled
Lol I laughed my damn self after I edited. I cried a little then laughed lol.
Talk about a vulnerable moment ❤️🩹
Thanks for the great reaction. I don't listen to this on a regular basis but it is my favorite song and performance by this man. Very powerful.

Oooooo lucky. I'm trying to get on that myself for my birthday. You'll have to let me know how it is!
If you want Prof going HARD, Subpar live at the gallery goes nuts
I cry every time
You are so on point.. it isnt fair i but its his time now! Squad Goals my first too. ❤ Subbed
Tombstone is 🔥. It's about his dog passing away.
Proft does make a lot of his own beats, not all but a lot
WTF indeed! That was so much to listen to and not just cry for him.
U baaaaaack! Didnt see you in Ireland, ya never bothered with London but you're baaack here at least! Yay.😊❤ pippa
Haha I'm sure you'll catch me around one of these days. :)
Check out High Priced shoes, fire goals, squad goals, pack a lunch….
I have Squad Goals already on the channel (peep the playlists and/or just search the channel) but we definitely have more Prof to do.
❤🔥
I almost hate to do this but if you want some other heavy rap songs, then watch NF - How could you leave us.
Bawled my eyes out
Haha no need to hate it! And I know I'm very, very late to doing more NF on this channel. I haven't forgotten and it's coming soon.

That's a good way to put it. Like a really good, fun song, but it's not the substance you get used to when you dive deep into his catalogue.

@@TheBlackSpeed I hope you react to it soon
Hey, Bradley.. aren't you glad you went with the "less heavy" song choice? 😊😅
Rofl yes, I'm so happy I picked this cheerful song to pick me up on a sad day. Smart me!
Do Eulogy!! Criminal!! Myself!!
Bro I just discovered Cutthroat by Prof today and I have had it on repeat for the last 2 hours, you gotta peep
That's an older one yeah? I'ma check it out!
@@TheBlackSpeed Yep, it came out in 2021! I will be looking forward to that :)
