I started Carnivore after hearing Dr. Berry talk about metabolic health. My weight was 122. I jumped in strict CARNIVORE, not for weight loss, but to get healthy. Within the first 2-3 weeks I was off my BP meds. My blood work has become excellent. I weigh 100 lbs, now and am doing 2 smaller meals to maintain weight. I do not need or want to lose anymore weight My stomach is FLAT as a WALL.. I do believe this is my optimal weight, since I weighed 105 when I graduated High school. I feel wonderful, days of energy, great skin, eczema totally gone... So much more. Some of my family members tell me I'm going to die. I look directly at the rolls of fat sitting on their laps, and say hows that STANDARD AMERICAN DIET WORKING FOR YOU??
Thanks for this ! My name is Tracey and I am a sugar and carb addict, recovering! No carbs, sugar, grains, cooking oils, alcohol since 12 April. Notice still can have cravings if not fully nourished by animal fats and meat. Reversed pre diabetes, fatty liver, gum disease, no longer anxious, no more brain fog, eyesight improved! Lost over 4 and half stones (UK) . Love your inspiration ❤ my doctor says keep doing what I'm doing!
Fatty liver is my why, did you get this tested/scanned again? Really hoping this works like others say. My appointment should be in Feb and I will ask for a scan then. Nervous as can be. 🥺 140ish days carnivore. My eyes are also better and I cannot believe it. It feels like a dream. I was on track for clinical blindness by 60, hereditary, and I am now using glasses I got 20 years ago! 💪😎
WELL DUN TRACEY!! Keep up the great work 👍🏽 Eat more than you normally would (like another serving) of protein- to curb the cravings, and strengthen your muscles 💪🏽 Mr. W.😁 has had good results doing some light dumbbell 💪🏽 workouts. I’ve lost 1.11 Stone (15.5 lbs) and 13.9 cm (5.5 inches total) The Mr., has lost around 2.14 Stone. Has a lot in common with you, and also seeing improvements. I’m glad some doctors are coming around. Cheering you On 😊 🥩🧂🥓🧈🍳💦💪🏽
Awesome that your doctor is on board with you. It’s hard to find one that is on this WOE. My cardiologist wanted to put me on a plant based diet but my primary doctor accepted that this is how I’m going to eat. Period.
I noticed that if I don't have enough meat and fat, my cravings will rise also. My husband and I are 69 and 72 years old. He still has 1 morning graham cracker with peanut butter with his morning coffee, I have coffee with heavy cream and some butter on the side. We have both lost 20 pounds so far without exetcise, we both were very sick, trying to patient to allow our bodies to heal first. I can do most housekeeping chores much easier. We were forced to halt painting the interior of our house 2 years ago. I find myself looking around and seeing the possibility of finishing someday. I am so grateful for finding the doctors who advocate for the zero carb life. I don't believe we would still be around much longer without it.
I feel emotional 🥹 The carnivore community is such a blessing full of beautiful supportive people.❤ I’m 9 weeks in at the age of 55. I had autoimmune issues, shingles, arthritis, chronic small bowel obstruction, malabsorption issues, cold hand and feet. I’m healing ❤️🩹 I couldn’t be more grateful or proud to be on this journey with all of you. 😊
You guys are awesome, thank you! I'm totally carb addicted, I've been able to quit years of drug and alcohol abuse with difficulty, but nothing was as hard as quitting carbs. Thanks for the motivation
This video is a home run. I actually frame it that the strict Carnivore diet I eat is easy, but saying no to my junk food cravings is what makes it hard. I do have an emotional/binge eating problem with junk food that sometimes gets in the way of eating 100% clean. The longest I’ve gone without fake food is 31 days and I noticed many health improvements. Had ONE junk snack and that turned into weeks of them. Not easy but I know it’ll be worth it.
5 yrs carnivore, would never go back. Cured severe IBS and fatigue. The wife does the same and has had 3 kids in 5 yrs, always breastfeeding, and she looks and feels great. Keep spreading the word
I’ve been living carnivore lifestyle over 3 years now and I will never go back. Educating myself was a key to overcoming carbs, learning that we can’t absorb nutrients from carbs, because of fiber. Was an eye opener. I’m 63 years old, lost 72 lbs so far, still losing weight a little bit each month. No more pre diabetes, no more achy joints, hypoglycemia is gone. Teeth are stronger, plaque is minimal, brain fog gone, sleep better. The list goes on. Meat based lifestyle is amazing. Love and success to all.
Congratulations! Wonderful video. You two are so authentic and likable. I wish you both great health. I’m 18 months carnivore. 62, lean, strong, fit, feeling good. I’ll never eat plants again. I was a carb addict and binge eating fool. Ribeye steak on sale for thanksgiving. Hurray!
I started about the same time as you. I can finally look at pastries and cookies and just look at them and not reach for them. Amazing. My body has what it needs.
I really needed to hear this. I am a total sugar addict trying to kick it for years. I have tried keto but ended up eating keto treats most of the time. Im drowning !!!!
It’s definitely a journey. We can fall into that trap from time to time as well, especially over the holidays. Just know: your body will get over it. Give it time and don’t give up. You’ve got this!
Good content! Thank you. My husband and I just crossed a year since we started keto & quicly moved to carnivore. It’s the first way of eating we’ve ever done together in our 32 yrs of marriage. I’m so thankful we have each other.
Just came across your channel! I am 56 and struggled with iron deficiency anemia for 25 years. The host of illness symptoms that came with that was killing my quality of life. I went plant based for a while only to add more problems. I found Dr. Berry and Dr. Baker a few years ago and have been given my quality of life back. All my bloodwork is where it should be and meat is what i crave. It is no joke about the sugar and carb addiction. I added a few things back in a few months ago and immediately felt the pull for more. I began getting tingling in my hands and headaches. Stopped those items and have gotten back to where i was. No symptoms. You don’t know how bad you felt until you feel great! This is the only way for me and I believe most will benefit getting off all processed food. Keto didn’t help me, but works great for my husband. Get your life back and start living it😊
Thanks for doing this video. Very helpful! It's great that you two are together in carnivore nutrition. I'm a single 75 YO guy who lost 60+ Lbs. on keto 14 months ago. Then gradually moved to carnivore 6 months ago. I wanted to do this gradually because, I knew that if I went cold turkey, into carnivore, there was going to be some setbacks and health issues do mostly to my age. Today, I'm about 80 to 90% protein only with some 'lingering' other elements I'm yet to give up. Such as horse radish that goes nicely with beef protein and some capers and lemon to compliment the seafood in my diet as well. Maybe an occasional cup of apple sauce... Exercise has nothing to do with weight loss. That's for sure. It's all in the diet.
I really like you guys. Very personable and real without being “click-baity.” I’m 61, and have been straight Carnivore for more than a year now. I had Thanksgiving dinner today with the family and had an extra large helping of turkey and deviled eggs😂 In spite of everyone coaxing me to have a cheat day, I politely declined and commented that they did a beautiful job preparing a traditional Thanksgiving table just like the ones I’ve been raised eating at my whole life. I’ll have them trained to just be comfortable with me walking my own dietary path soon enough. 😉🥩 The key is to not let there be drama or a debate because there is no way they are going to be unindoctrinated in one conversation over a festive dinner that everyone put so much work into. The great thing about Carnivore it the hours of life you get back from not having to worry over food choices and food prep. We just need to be shining examples and the snapshot of incredible health as those who refuse to wake up find out in time the hard way for themselves. We are still on the leading edge of this trending diversion back to our ancestral way of eating and moving away from the century old lie we’ve been groomed to believe. Our peers will be slow to catch up with us and will only come around after their health starts to fail them. Again, I’m 61, I haven’t craved all my favorite old carbs, breads, or sugars for a year now. None of my old eating delights were ever as good as how I feel all day every day of my life. And the mental clarity, weight control, consistent energy, and muscle gains are through the roof! You guys just gained another subscriber after popping up on my radar. God bless and Happy Thanksgiving 2023!! 🦃🍽 🥩
Very well said! These are my feelings also while I was with my family over Thanksgiving. I'm 63 and Carnivore 21 months and loving it with no cravings for carbs, no teeth pain from a bad accident years ago, no stomach issues, no more tinnitus weekly, maybe 1 every 3 months and getting longer every time, lost close to 42 lbs and 4"'s, only downside was buying all new jeans and shorts! This has changed my life so well I'm staying with this!🤩
That’s great advice, just do you and let other see how great you look/feel. Also, everyone seems to say how easily they gain muscle on carnivore, do you work out a little? Lot? Curious because people say they barely do anything and build muscle 😂. Hoping I can have that luck too!
I just found your channel! I'm so glad and thankful. I'm 82 years old-ish, and FINALLY ready to admit admit and own the truth that I am addicted to carbs!! I made a decision to give it a genuine try to at least improve my pain wracked body........loooong story short: been on my carnivore lifestyle since Sep.30/23..... not perfectly but I'm ok with this.....still learning the "how's" now that I know my "why"! If you reply to this text, I might tell you more. Sidenote: 5 yrs ago I quit my insulin shots by going Keto for 9 months and shed 80+ pounds, but couldn't maintain it(the allowed carbs fed my addiction!). Thanks for listening. God Bless and continue to guide you both in your exciting health journey. 🙏💜 PS i'm finding both Dr Ken Berry, and Dr R Cywes(on uTube to be really helpful, and "Carnivorous Me(Amanda), a real down to earth person, as you seem to be.
Thank you for sharing your story and experience. Carnivore for 2 months now and I can def relate to you. As Garrett mentioned, my only regret was not starting sooner but I’m happy where I am now and where I’m going. The Lord is healing my heart + mind and the carnivore life style my body. Thank you
Wow, happy that you two popped up on my screen this morning! It's so nice to see a young couple utilizing the carnivore woe. At 65 I wish I would have known 20 or 30 yrs ago what I now know! Dec. 6 will mark 6 mo carnivore for me. You two will undoubtedly keep on gathering more people into the carnivore way of living because you're pleasant and full of information by simply explaining your own journey. Thank you both!
Hi just finished your video I started 2yrs ago keto/Paleo. Then keto, now Ketovore. Jan 2024 I'm going to try 100%carnivore. Right now I'd say I'm 98% carnivore. So that's why I say Ketovore. I eat olives, jalapeno, pickles, mustard,. Rarely fruit and honey. But I've noticed when I eat fruit and honey my joints hurt and I crave more of it I need to cut it out completely! 🎉 Congratulations to you guys for starting this woe. I try to encourage my friends and family but to no avail. I watched alot of content on RUclips each day for encouragement. I subscribed to your channel now.😊
Good job. I’m 62.. have been Carnivore for 306 days. 40 pounds lost, huge reduction in Blood Pressue. Triglyceride to HDL is now at 1.5.. Or better. My big plus.. I’m a long distance cyclist and stopped carbing up prior to and during even the longest rides.
The carb craving drop off is amazing. I thought it would never go away. 1 year carnivore i did have a couple carb binges but, it always made me feel sick after. I will still eat carbs for special occasions. But never feel like eating them anymore
Awesome video. I was about 25lbs overweight. Most people thought I was skinny! I was fat! Stop normalizing Dadbods, they are unhealthy and keeping your Dads from their best lives! 3 months into carnivore. Pushups? Amen!17lbs down 4in off waist. Having happy feelings I haven’t had since my 20s (but with the wisdom of age, so much fun!). 57 now. My teeth are very excited about it. Even my feet are thanking me daily! Super Grateful testifying to demon busting power of this Ancestrally Appropriate Proper Human Diet!
When I don't eat carbs, I have no cravings. Will be having a family gathering tomorrow and am going to fill up on ham, turkey and my deviled eggs so I will be full!
I just found your channel today!! Nicely done..I subscribed and look forward to future videos. I've been keto/carnivore for the last year losing 73 pounds but I still struggle with cravings for the sweets now and then. You really brought up some wonderful ideas and I appreciate the advice on how to navigate the journey to get healthy and stay that way. Thank you again for a great video!❤
Finally, I found someone who also suffered HS! We brought our daughter countless “expert” doctors and we were told no cure and to seek government funding for more research. My daughter was taking painful Humira shots and we even sort out two plastic surgeons to see if removing her boils and wounds that way could help. When my daughter mentioned reading about leaky gut on a HS forum, both the doctor and I dismissed it as silly to think what you eat could cause this extremely painful skin disease. We stumbled upon Keto, she lost 100 lbs (constantly high cortisol levels bring on weight gains) and so most of her wounds are healed up. She was covered by these wounds for years, they bled and oozed fluids for years. The boils and wounds were on her belly, her thighs, her buttocks, her genitals, her armpits, and anywhere they just wanted to be. HS sufferers have a high suicide rate. The endocrinologist who was a heavy woman, told my young daughter, that some people are just destined to be fat. My 26-year-old daughter got her life back. No thanks to the medical community! (She plans on going lions diet comes January to finish the job and heal the rest of the wounds.)
Brilliant story of healing and winning against the lies we have been told about food. Sickening that your daughter's doctors didn't know about food's effects, and even told her not to eat this way.
I believe one of Kerry and Jenn's daughters (from HomeSteadHow) also had HS. They spent thousands upon thousands of dollars on doctors and drugs to no avail. She was entirely cured by eating a carnivore diet.
You guys knock this out of the park. My husband and I follow Dr. Berry. But I like to watch different people to see how they have handled there journey. Awesome
I love you guys! You are the sweetest couple. I have been mostly carnivore for a year. My rheumatoid arthritis resolved. I have energy like I have not had in years and I feel wonderful. The beginning October, I kind of went off the rails and was intermittently eating junk, for various reasons it was actually a lot of different celebrations with my grandkids and the nurses at the hospital. I’ve been back on track for several days and I am feeling phenomenal again. Everyone keep up the good work and yes remember you’re why!
It's great to see a nurse practitioner eating carnivore. My daughter is a nurse, and told me recently, "No food is intrinsically bad." She cooks delicious mostly whole food meals, including plenty of vegetables and carbs. She does not see the connection between what she eats and several health conditions she and her husband suffer. I have not even tried to talk her into carnivore because she will not be able to hear it from me, even though she can see I have lost 20 pounds so far, feel amazing, and have a ton of energy. My other daughter has had a disordered relationship with food (anorexia) and is breaking out of it in counseling, which leads her to tell me that cutting out whole groups of foods (fruits, vegetables, grains) is a disordered way of thinking about food. I see where she is coming from, but I am pursuing optimal health in every way. The antinutrients in plants nearly killed my best friend this summer. It was the first time I saw in real life the detrimental effects of plant chemicals (oxalates specifically). I feel the very best mentally and physically when I have only animal products. I still permit some berries, which is probably why I still feel tempted by sugars (ice cream and chocolate esp.). I rarely give in, but I still wrestle with the temptations. And teachers are just as bad as nurses for bringing goodies to share at work! Anyway, thank you for showing me that one can be a nurse and still choose carnivore.
You are such a beautiful couple, inside and out! I'm definitely a carb addict. Your sharing inspires me to continue with carnivore after sticking with it for two weeks. Thank you!
There is cravings for sugar and carbs. There is also cravings for comfort drinks. My addicted brain seeks out black coffee in between meals. So I quit coffee (suffered 2 days of headache). Then the cravings is gone it sometimes kind of scary. I see cakes, cookies, ice cream, oreos chips.. and I see them as inedible.
im just over 9 weeks in this diet.. Had one wee sugar slip up last night with nestles condensed milk.. A few tablespoons.. I regretted it as soon as it happened and have been bloated today.. Sugar is so digusting to me now.. I was so pleased to do so well for 9 weeks though and stright back on track Carb/Sugar free.. LOVE steak with a little cream chesse on top.. Bacon an eggs every breakfast.. Butter bites.. Greek youghurt an chesse are my treats now .. Im NEVER going back to where i was and what i ate
Hello, and welcome to the carnivore community! So happy to see the message spreading to more and more people. You are right about needing a community of like-minded individuals to surround yourself. I am usually plugged into social media channels with the growing tribe of carnivore/animal-based influencers. This helps to keep me on track and continue to be strong in my message to my family, friends and local community. I'm more animal-based now with a heavy emphasis on consuming more animal fats. Some days I'm strict, high-fat carnivore and other days I add in very small amounts of carbs coming from whole foods. This combo makes me feel my best, BUT I cannot overdo the carb or else I feel it. Funny, in the summer when I decided to splurge a bit I consumed local homemade ice cream, the first two spoons were heavenly, angels were singing...however the third spoonful is when my body signals kicked in and the ice cream tasted too sweet and I had to spit some of it out! I really think that once you've changed your palate (and this took me a couple of years) my body's signals have become loud and clear whenever I consume some type of food that is less than ideal. Back in South America, in my childhood, I noticed how family would eat sweets/desserts BUT many times a slice of cake was not finished or there were lots of leftovers...they always preferred the heavy carnivore dishes....organ meats, meat stews, grilled meat, fish, seafood etc. Can't say that this is as much true now, as processed foods are more common now. I myself have been carnivore/animal-based for several years now, and in the last 2 years have become very serious about restricting my cabs as I noticed how much it helped with my menopause symptoms and digestion issues. Anyway you decide to do this, it can significantly improve a person's overall health. Many blessings - wishing you a healthy and prosperous journey!
God, Hagan Daz ice cream had me completely out of control! I'd seek out the sales and sometimes buy two pints and then gorge on it. Psoriasis, herpes or Shingles all took their turn to remind me to STOP IT! So glad that craving has been cured but wow, what a roller coaster ride of high sugars, whatever chemicals and gut ruination from it. Freed with a stricter Carnivore diet, guys. It works like a charm.
One thing that people don't realize is that when anyone is losing weight and "burning fat" no matter how it's done, low carb, calorie restriction, fasting, ... you are essentially eating a high fat diet, just that you are eating your own saturated fat.
You guys, your video just popped up on my feed and I am so thankful! I am right where you guys were when you started! I know I can do this! I am subscribing and you will help me stay motivated!! Thank you! Thank you!!
I started eating carnivore May of 2023. I have tried my best to be strict and allowed a glass of wine without issues at first. My consumption of wine was kept to one small amounts and one per event… with several weeks between. Then Halloween came around, I quickly lost my ability to avoid chocolate. I kept eating high fat, beef, and pork. It helped keep me on my path, but I knew that my eating disorder/ disordered eating would be hard to overcome alone. I pushed through tho several months, lived for the next video and made changes to improve myself. Then my husband mentioned interest in cutting his carbs down. This has been such a help to get back on track. Recently, I had to take an antibiotic for a common bacteria infection. I am very grateful in sharing that the usual diarrhea has not come. I believe it hasn’t shown, because of the extra salt and daily electrolytes. I would recommend this diet to anyone with depression, racing heart, anxiety, add, venous insufficiency, interstitial cystitis, mood swing and mood regular, migraines, eczema, rosacea, psoriasis ( face and scalp ) and flaking skin from poor ( legs ) circulation and poor eye sight ( astigmatism correction ).
The next time someone asks me how my cholesterol is doing, I’ll respond by asking them how their HgA1c, CRP and HDL to Triglyceride ratios are doing 😜 A couple people that I used to look up to as being fit, being able to “moderate” their food and maintain their weight, now seem so inflamed and tired to me. I lost 45 lbs, got off my BP meds and look amazing yet I need to be worried about my cholesterol. Nope!
Yes! Sugar, carbs, grains - they all trigger cravings for more of the same. When I cut them out of my diet, I feel better. Thanks for the encouragement!
Thank you so much for sharing your journey! You both are authentic in explaining the process and the points you make are very relatable. Ive been on this plan for 4 months - had to write a list (12) benefits that ive experienced so far....no more bleeding gums; migraines gone; less back pain; less hip pain; peripheral neuropathy almost gone; 20 lbs off; skin conditions clearing;hearing improved; eyesight improved....the list keeps growing. Thank you again for this video - im sending it to my daughter. Hopefully it will inspire her to get started. ❤
New sub here. Very powerful video. I enjoyed this video and I will support you both as so many points / struggles you shared I can totally relate to. The struggle is real and I will push forward.
Just saw your RUclips videos today and very proud of your successes. I have studied Low Carb KETO/ carnivore with 20hr fasting OMAD for 5 years. Fantastic results. Keep your message going.
The social aspect is amazing. I could get my friends/family to take some insane experimental drug everyday for weightloss/mental health before i get them to just try carnivore
Hi there! I’m a new subscriber! Love you two and the fact that you’ve come to this way of eating together as a couple. I am 71 yrs old and have done Adkins off and on many times since Dr.Atkins first book came out in the 70’s. Always lost weight and felt great. Since my husband passed away my weight has gone up to 206 lbs but, as of December 1st, the first day of my carnivore journey…..I have been amazed how my body is reacting. Probably tmi, but my system has been ‘cleaning house’ 😂 after every meat meal, ridding itself of an incredible amount of toxins. Yesterday, 6 days into this journey I experienced muscle pain over my entire body, WOW! I’m so relieved to find out that this too will pass. I’m definitely feeling better today and relieved that it wasn’t Covid or the flu 😅. All this to say, thank you! I feel totally satiated and have lost 7 lbs 🎉. Believe me, I will be watching allll of your videos for my inspiration because alllll of my friends and family are NOT onboard! I know they love me but I’m definitely gonna have to prove to them this is the proper human diet. Thank you for sharing your journey and knowledge with those of us who want better health without drugs AND just better quality of life. 👍😉
This was a great and inspiring video. I started carnivore about a year ago and have lost 83 pounds. A month ago a friend came to visit from out of state. He was here a week. I got off my way of eating and have been finding it really hard to get back to it. It’s been a worse struggle than when I first started. In my mind I know how much it has done for my health. Your sure right about needing to be your own support. I have no one to lean on so videos like this really help. Thank you.
This is the second video of yours that I've watched. I completely agree with everything you are saying. Having been on carnivore for 9 months. I took 2 months off after 5 months carnivore for Thanksgiving and Christmas. What a mistake! It seemed harder to go back carnivore on Jan 1st. But now over 4 months later, that difficulty seems a figment of my imagination. What I realized in January is that I have a carb addiction. I have mentioned to two separate groups of people since then that I have a carb addiction. And both times people in both geoups either cracked smiles or even chuckled. But to most Americans, it sounds ridiculous because they have not tried cutting out their carb addiction. I whole heartedly believe that if a person were to try carnivore for 90 days, they will likely never want to go back, and if they do go back, they have a great chance to identify that carbohydrates are addicting.
Great video. You guys are really a wonderful couple to look at and listen to. 😊 Congratulations 🎉 My story with Keto is that I tried it so many times and I could not sick with it. I suppose that my body could not agree with the vegetables I was eating and the nagging cravings because of eating only 3oz of meat a day), and when I started carnivore, even though I slipped a few times in the beginning, I wanted to continue eating meat. My slip ups very not so serious and because of them I could feel how badly my body was affected by them which only reenforced me to stay away from cheating. And a year before starting carnivore, I eliminated olive oil(I have not cooked with seed oils for about 20 years now) because it was causing awful pimples(immediately they cleared) so now I can observe what detrimental impact malnutrition and not eating enough had on my body. The improvements are incredible. Thank you guys for sharing. It is so nice to come across your energy. 😊
Really great video! I started Carnivore in January of 23, so it’s been basically a year. So many improvements, even things I didn’t realize were issues but my why was “mental health” I came to this from Keto first [which helped] So I could use real help fixing a couple problems that are new challenges. Leg cramps every night around 1:30 am. I have to get up and walk it off and then again about an hour later leg cramps again. I’m taking “Lmnt” plus Magnesium [in a digestible form] and Potassium as well… nothing seems to help and it’s getting REAL old! Also having a tad lower energy… but that’s it and so much is better, that I will never go back! I could sure use the help to fix those last 2 things. THANKS!
Food in the US is designed to be addicting. The 'good taste' comes from artificial flavors, chemical sweeteners, and habit forming advertising. I think you are both so right, if we get proper nutrition, we will not go for artificial, chemical and addicting replacements. Our body will know the difference. Within about 3 months our body naturally goes for proper human nutrition.
Thank you guys for sharing your story! This is so encouraging! I’ve been carnivore since March 1st but my energy is waning lately, I think I need to increase my fat intake. Thanks for the great video.
First video of you guys that I have found. You guys are sooo inspirational to me! I started one month ago and was feeling great, decided to cheat a bit on my husband‘s birthday and I totally regret it, it sent me down a downward spiral and I’ve struggled to get back to not craving carbs so much. Your tip on eating more fat I’m definitely going to do and I’m gonna check out that video on how much fat to protein I should eat. Keep posting! New subscriber!
I’m so proud of you for dusting yourself off and continuing forward. That is one of the hardest things to do when you “relapse”. Believe me, after Thanksgiving, I am still not feeling 100% but all we can do is keep going! You got this and I’m so glad you’re here!!
You are two of my favorite carnivores. Your videos are SO relatable and authentic. I appreciate your openness. Thank you for sharing your experience with us! Please keep offering us your insights and inspiration. I’m carb/ sugar addicted and your videos keep me steady. Thank you!
I am at the beginning of my journey to optimal health. I started 2 weeks ago on ketovore and my glucose levels have gone back to normal range. That’s a miracle considering I’ve struggled with my diabetes for 8 years. It just does to show that being consistent is the key to keeping motivated. I am on a high right now. Your videos are what keeps me going as well. Thank you and good luck as well 😊
An easy way to pump up fat intake is to add pork belly bites into the diet. It is a cheap meat (need to buy at local butcher usually) when you buy it whole (usually it is sold cubed or chopped up which adds to the cost). I add PB bites to my soft scrambled eggs.
I agree carnivore is the way to go ! I’ve been carnivore now for two years and it’s made all the difference plus planning food is so easy a no brainer lol ! Off my blood pressure pills ,no joint pain, no migraines! It’s amazing what carbs and sugar does to you ! Oh and most of all No depression !! ❤
I remember the first time I heard of carnivore I thought it was an internet gag, like convincing kids to eat Tide pods. Of course you need plants, of course you need fiber! No, you don't! And they're not only not needed, they're not good for you. At all! Y'all are awesome.
Keep it up guys. Do what makes you feel good. Forget the people who doubt and fear. Those people will always hold you back. It's actually the same for alcoholics and drug addicts. You make people feel uncomfortable when you break the status quo. Break the status quo anyway.
I just got to the point of feeling really amazing in general after a few months of Carnivore & sleeping better than I ever have in my whole life. Then came Thanksgiving & I cheated that whole weekend. The great feelings & sleep went away until I got back on it for a few days. I thought you could have a cheat day once a week like other diets, but not so!! I’d much rather keep the great feelings & sleep going than eat something that will throw it off.
Something Garrett said rang true with me: being "fat adapted". And not being hungry all the time, having to eat every 2-3 hours. Hypoglycaemia is horrible. I eat maybe twice a day now. I still like bread, but it doesn't like me, gives me headaches. The perfect snack is smoked ham or serrano ham.
I haven't noticed dramatic changes and I'm a few months in, but I'd say I'm glad I'm not on carbs or vegetables/fruit anymore simply because I know what I'm getting with eggs for lunch every day and meat every single night. I rarely get hungry (if I do it's because I haven't eaten enough, really) and I don't get the myriad of weird symptoms, not knowing which food caused what.
yes truly an addiction .... with other drugs it takes years to truly get comfortable but it is BEYOND WORTH IT. To die from a horrible disease that could have been avoided is such a waste.
Yes, I did a video on how my mind and body were at war and both were losing. Garrett, what you said about your body and mind always fighting resonated with me! And the guilt too. For me it wasn't because I was vegan, it was the guilt over consuming so many calories at once, so I'd go back to starving myself the next day.
Absolutely! Looking back on it, it was positively debilitating. Yes! The fasting after “falling off” is spot on. I can’t even count how many times we’ve done this. Very unhealthy behavior for sure.
Just keep at it! You’ll do great. Keep your end goal in mind. Imagine what it’ll feel like to be healed! As always, you’ve got a great community behind you. You’ve got this!
My body will NEVER stop craving carbs & sugar!!! I've been mostly carnivore, with rare non starchy veg for 9mos. Some days, doesn't raise it's ugly head, but some days, it's in my face shaking me. I have to really be mindful!!!
Thank you for this wonderful video. I've been trying to eat a carnivore diet for more than a year. I was a vegetarian most of my life and a vegan for 5 years after that. I started having health problems (neuropathy in my feet and hands, loose teeth (one had to be removed because it was so loose), indigestion, heartburn, rosacea and hair loss. I didn't realize these health problems were probably caused by being a vegetarian/vegan until I watched a video by Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride called "Thinking About Becoming A Vegetarian? Watch This Video First". I also watched some videos by ex-vegetarians/vegans who were talking about their health problems. They had the same problems I had. So I started to eat animal products again. Unfortunately, I don't like the taste of meat (except hot dogs, they're OK). I eat fish, eggs and dairy. That's all I can tolerate. But eating those same foods all the time is very boring. I am also addicted to sugar and carbs. When I stop eating them, I have uncomfortable withdrawal symptoms. So I eat them again. It's a vicious cycle.
Hi, really great video and I really love and appreciate the sincerity you both have for this lifestyle, what you've been through and cheering us all on. I'm looking for the Nutrition with Judy link you spoke of, am I missing it? Can you please point me in the right direction to find it? Thanks so much!
I have sugar addiction but keep getting back to carnivore. My fiance is not carnivore and I feel sabotaged always. Ive been trying to give up caffeine, it has been to hard for now.
What you say about the judgement of others is also "spot on". You feel so good and want to shout it from the hilltops, but when people learn how you did it, they don't just not want to hear it, they become suddenly concerned for you. You are going against what society and the medical system says is "safe and effective". After having experienced the awesomeness of eating a whole food MEAT based diet. (The only plants I consume are less than 5 herbs over the course of any given month). ....The elephant in the room is : [Why has the medical system and media promoted plant based foods (for decades), but also actively publicized the misinformation that red meat is bad for us?] We are living in an upside down world. People have gotten to the point that they will trust a stranger on TV before even trying something as safe as [a carnivore diet] for themselves. We believe that 'science' is robust. We believe that doctors are being trained on (or informed by) good science. Evidence like the carnivore diet, clearly shines a spotlight on this fallacy. But still, to a majority of people, this message of mine, here, must look crazy. The fact that I am questioning science means that I must be a conspiracy theorist. And with that title, media has taught everyone in the last 3 years, that if you question science, you're not just a conspiracy theorist, you must also belong to the political party that the current administration stands in opposition to. This is not a republican / democrat issue. This is a freedom of thought issue. This is a big deal. it is encouraged that people who question science or other dictats of the government, should be ignored and probably even ridiculed, and definitely canceled... Remember, the food pyramid was created by (AND is STILL promoted by) a government agency for 50 years or more. There is a lot of money and power invested in keeping us sick. Seriously, do you honestly believe that there is no science to back up the benefits of a carnivore diet?? It's just not being promoted by the establishment. Instead studies funded by the multi-billion dollar agriculture and processed food industries (including the pharmaceutical industry) is driving the bus. Our society is in this bus and the bus is going over a cliff. We all need to jump off of the bus and wake the hell up.
I do not need or want to lose anymore weight
My stomach is FLAT as a WALL..
Congratulations on your success! You are an inspiration! Family will catch on someday! I’m glad you’re here! ❤️
Well done you!
Fatty liver is my why, did you get this tested/scanned again? Really hoping this works like others say. My appointment should be in Feb and I will ask for a scan then. Nervous as can be. 🥺
140ish days carnivore. My eyes are also better and I cannot believe it. It feels like a dream. I was on track for clinical blindness by 60, hereditary, and I am now using glasses I got 20 years ago! 💪😎
WELL DUN TRACEY!!
Keep up the great work 👍🏽
Eat more than you normally would (like another serving) of protein- to curb the cravings,
and strengthen your muscles 💪🏽 Mr. W.😁 has had good results doing some light dumbbell 💪🏽 workouts. I’ve lost 1.11 Stone (15.5 lbs) and 13.9 cm (5.5 inches total)
The Mr., has lost around 2.14 Stone. Has a lot in common with you, and also seeing improvements.
I’m glad some doctors are coming around.
Cheering you On 😊
🥩🧂🥓🧈🍳💦💪🏽
Welcome to the tribe! Awesome new life for all of us.
Welcome!! Thank you for being here. We are so grateful excited for your journey! Keep us updated!!! ❤️
You guys are awesome, thank you! I'm totally carb addicted, I've been able to quit years of drug and alcohol abuse with difficulty, but nothing was as hard as quitting carbs. Thanks for the motivation
Wow! Congratulations on quitting your addictions! You are an inspiration to all of us!!
That's amazing! God bless you and your wife. We hope to be in your shoes in the near future!
Hurray!
Thank you!! We are so glad you are here! Congratulations on better health! You are an inspiration!!!
That is awesome! Keep up the good work! It helps to have someone in your corner for sure!
“Start now.” The Chinese have a saying: There are two best times to plant a tree…20 years ago and today.
Very personable and real without being “click-baity.”
I’m 61, and have been straight Carnivore for more than a year now. I had Thanksgiving dinner today with the family and had an extra large helping of turkey and deviled eggs😂
In spite of everyone coaxing me to have a cheat day, I politely declined and commented that they did a beautiful job preparing a traditional Thanksgiving table just like the ones I’ve been raised eating at my whole life.
I’ll have them trained to just be comfortable with me walking my own dietary path soon enough. 😉🥩
The key is to not let there be drama or a debate because there is no way they are going to be unindoctrinated in one conversation over a festive dinner that everyone put so much work into.
This has changed my life so well I'm staying with this!🤩
Yes, a long post, but certainly worth reading. Thanx and stay strong and healthy 🙏
🙏💜
PS i'm finding both Dr Ken Berry, and Dr R Cywes(on uTube to be really helpful, and "Carnivorous Me(Amanda), a real down to earth person, as you seem to be.
Not a typo....I just had my 82nd birthday, and already about 65% free of pain.😁
Thank you for sharing your story and experience. Carnivore for 2 months now and I can def relate to you. As Garrett mentioned, my only regret was not starting sooner but I’m happy where I am now and where I’m going. The Lord is healing my heart + mind and the carnivore life style my body. Thank you
I’m so happy for you! You’ve got this!! We are so glad you’re here!
@@Meatiswhereitsat❤ Thank you! I am happy for you and Garrett as well. We got this. 💪🙂
That sounds so amazing!! We are so excited for Thanksgiving this year!
I start my 16 week Carnivore cut tomorrow. I’m am mentally ready for the challenge! I’m posting my journey on FB.
You’ve totally got this! 🤘
A whole year! That’s amazing! 73 pounds!? You are an inspiration!
Check out Kelly Hogan of Zero Carb Life. She suffered years with boils and other issues. She’s been carnivore over 13 years. Keep on healing.
I believe one of Kerry and Jenn's daughters (from HomeSteadHow) also had HS. They spent thousands upon thousands of dollars on doctors and drugs to no avail. She was entirely cured by eating a carnivore diet.
So glad you are a fighter! Glad for your child also! ❤ Dr Anthony Chaffee and Dr Elizabeth Bright on YT..FYI
You guys knock this out of the park. My husband and I follow Dr. Berry. But I like to watch different people to see how they have handled there journey. Awesome
Wow, thank you!
Really proud of you guys It was a great video thank you. I'm 4 months carnivore and doing great
You are such a beautiful couple, inside and out! I'm definitely a carb addict. Your sharing inspires me to continue with carnivore after sticking with it for two weeks. Thank you!
You can do it!
I tried a small bit of pie at Thanksgiving dinner and tasted horrible!! Two yrs ago I could have eaten the whole pie!!
I hope I soon see them as inedible. I already see a lot of processed food as plastic.
im just over 9 weeks in this diet..
Welcome to the carnivore space. Glad to see more and more content on the topic. I just added you to my more than 50 carnivore RUclips subs.
Thank you! Thank you!!
Welcome!! I’m so glad you’re here! You’ve got this!!
Hi All, my HDL and TRG went down when I stared eating 6 eggs for breakfast and a big piece of meat in the afternoon. No sugar!
The next time someone asks me how my cholesterol is doing, I’ll respond by asking them how their HgA1c, CRP and HDL to Triglyceride ratios are doing 😜
A couple people that I used to look up to as being fit, being able to “moderate” their food and maintain their weight, now seem so inflamed and tired to me.
This is my first video of yours, it poped up as a suggested video glad it did became a subscriber at the end of the video
I’m so glad you’re here with us!! 💕
Just keep doing what you're doing, keep going. I have been carnival now for 24 straight months. You're doing fantastic 👌👍
Thank you for sharing
your journey and knowledge with those of us who want better health without drugs AND just better quality of life. 👍😉
Keep up the good work! Go carnivore! Carnivore has changed my life in so many ways. Physically and mentally. To me it was a miracle.
Great share! I've gone from Keto to Carnivore. I'm 9 days away from 90 days Carnivore! Yay!
Ahh!! That’s awesome! Congratulations!!
Appreciate the encouragement!
Great video. You guys are really a wonderful couple to look at and listen to. 😊 Congratulations 🎉
My story with Keto is that I tried it so many times and I could not sick with it.
So many improvements, even things I didn’t realize were issues but my why was “mental health” I came to this from Keto first [which helped]
So I could use real help fixing a couple problems that are new challenges.
So true! I'm way more in tune with my body now!
This was exactly what I needed thanks guys
Thank you guys for sharing your story! This is so encouraging! I’ve been carnivore since March 1st but my energy is waning lately, I think I need to increase my fat intake. Thanks for the great video.
Thanks for this you two, well said. I am an addicted carbolic fighting the fight too.
You’ve got this!!! 👏🏻
Just discovered you. I enjoyed your content. Well done!❤
Yay! Thank you!
@@Meatiswhereitsat thank you so much for the encouragement! I’m so glad I found your channel. I’ve been binge watching your videos today lol
MUCH RESPECT YOU TWO !!
Spot on! Thank you! 🙏❤️
You guys are great , I enjoyed you so much . My husband and I have been carnivore since 27 of July till now .
Thank you! I’m glad you’re here!! Keep it up!! 😍
This video is life changing. I am starting now!! 2 days in. Definitely following your channel. Thank you!!
Ahh! We are so excited for you! Please keep us posted on your progress and we will follow along and cheer for you!
Great to see you both again!
You too!!!
The Carb Addiction Doc -Dr Rob Cywes has a lot of RUclipss & is excellent at explaining things as well!!
You are two of my favorite carnivores. Your videos are SO relatable and authentic. I appreciate your openness. Thank you for sharing your experience with us! Please keep offering us your insights and inspiration.
I’m carb/ sugar addicted and your videos keep me steady. Thank you!
lol "favorite carnivores"'. I just liked that segment.
Just found your channel. Thank you for the encouragement as I’m getting back on track.
You got this!
What a good looking couple. Keep up the great work!
Thank you for that compliment! That was so kind of you! 💕
Oh and most of all
No depression !! ❤
Yes! My depression is gone too! It’s such a relief! I’m so proud of you for your success on your journey!
@@Meatiswhereitsat thanks and for yours as well !! We rock !!
I remember the first time I heard of carnivore I thought it was an internet gag, like convincing kids to eat Tide pods. Of course you need plants, of course you need fiber! No, you don't! And they're not only not needed, they're not good for you. At all! Y'all are awesome.
Great video. You are spot on.
Yep been onboard since Oct, lost weight and feeling good. Scribed to channel enjoyed your video alot and can relate
Hi! I’m so glad you’re here!! I’m so proud of your success so far! Keep it up!!
All your points are bang on! Thanks for the video!
Thank you for the support!! 💕
what a breakthrough, 2024 looks bright. 💫
It looks sooo bright!!! 😍
EXCELLENT video! Loved it! Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it! 💕💕
Keep it up guys. Do what makes you feel good. Forget the people who doubt and fear. Those people will always hold you back. It's actually the same for alcoholics and drug addicts. You make people feel uncomfortable when you break the status quo. Break the status quo anyway.
🙌🏻
I just got to the point of feeling really amazing in general after a few months of Carnivore & sleeping better than I ever have in my whole life. Then came Thanksgiving & I cheated that whole weekend. The great feelings & sleep went away until I got back on it for a few days. I thought you could have a cheat day once a week like other diets, but not so!! I’d much rather keep the great feelings & sleep going than eat something that will throw it off.
great video and so true
You guys are amazing and so inspiring thank you
Very well said!
Great talk!
Hi, love you guys, thankyou so much 🤸🐮🐓🐟🐑🦬
I’m so glad you’re here! We love our community!!
Thank you for sharing, I have always enjoyed your videos and found a lot good information as well as comfort in seeing others successes. Keep it up
Great video guys, it really is the most life changing thing. My almost 40 year old self could kick my 20 year old a$$
I haven't noticed dramatic changes and I'm a few months in, but I'd say I'm glad I'm not on carbs or vegetables/fruit anymore simply because I know what I'm getting with eggs for lunch every day and meat every single night.
Really enjoyed your video! ❤
Thank you! I’m glad you’re here!!
Im a few weeks in on carnivore and it's hard quitting carbs and sugar especially when you have sibo and fibromyalgia 😢
Just keep at it! You’ll do great. Keep your end goal in mind. Imagine what it’ll feel like to be healed! As always, you’ve got a great community behind you. You’ve got this!
Always remember your why! It gets way easier the longer you stick with this way of eating! 😁
My body will NEVER stop craving carbs & sugar!!! I've been mostly carnivore, with rare non starchy veg for 9mos. Some days, doesn't raise it's ugly head, but some days, it's in my face shaking me. I have to really be mindful!!!
You have to eliminate all veggies and remember to take electrolytes.
Ketones outperform carbs every time......no energy crashes, stable insulin levels
Let me get that link added! So sorry about that! All the Thanksgiving prep today had me so distracted! ❤️
@@Meatiswhereitsat thank you so much, I see it now! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving. 😊
Very good.
(The only plants I consume are less than 5 herbs over the course of any given month).
....The elephant in the room is :
[Why has the medical system and media promoted plant based foods (for decades), but also actively publicized the misinformation that red meat is bad for us?]
We are living in an upside down world.
