I immediately mixed up some flour & water & poured it in. When I raised that lid & took the cleaning waffle out......my waffle maker was clean. Wow! It works like magic. Thank you again.
I was not sure about this at first, but tried it anyway and I am very happy with result. Will do this everytime I use waffle maker. Thank you! (you saved me from having to explain my boyfriend's mother what happened in the kitchen :D)
@@makeeverydaycolorful6789 Will let you know. I've only been making waffles for myself - self-batch - because I haven't and don't know how to clean my waffle maker to a decently clean standard. Just means more waffles for me. Ha-ha!
If you cooked waffles and part of it is stuck? Well, I haven’t actually had that happen to me yet so I can’t say with certainty. I guess it would be worth a shot. You could also maybe add a tad bit of water (not a lot) to the hot iron to try and loosen it. To create steam basically.
Lourdes Guzman to clean it before use I would say the only thing you can really do since it can’t be put in water is to wipe it clean as best as possible with a wet dish rag. And heating it up after would probably kill germs. I’m no expert but I believe that is what I did the first time.
I usually give to our chickens but you can prevent waste other ways as well. Such as immediately after cooking on it you can make a cornbread or waffle mix and put it on there to catch all the spillage. That way you are eating week old stuck on cheese or whatever is on there. So if you do a cornbread mix and it picks up the cheese that just dripped on there then you can just eat it. This is just a basic cleaning method. You can make any bread recipe that you can eat and it will most likely work in the same way. Hope this helps we the waste issue.

That’s a great idea! I’ve been using water & a bottle brush. I like this idea so much better. Thanks for sharing. 😁
*Syds_Angel* your welcome!
Great trick! Quick clean and then use a batter to pick up the crumbs. I dig it.
Brilliant. I use my waffle maker almost exclusively for grilled cheese too & I get so irritated trying to clean every last little bit out of there.
Thank You! It's what we're having for breakfast this Christmas, someone mentioned a wire brush to clean smh........ I'm glad I saw this
Ty ty ty

I used Q-tips to clean my waffle iron!
Thank You So Much
Do you put cooking spray before?
I never use spray before bc my waffle marker manual tells me not too. Not sure it that applies to all waffle irons.
@@makeeverydaycolorful6789 wow, mine gets sticky without oil; you give crunchy napolitano wafer to the dog or cat?
@@Tweaky853 not sure about a dog or cat, although I’m sure it wouldn’t bother them. I’ve given it to chickens
cool idea
That is clever
Can you do this with baking soda so there's no food involved? Maybe even using vinegar in the "baking soda batter?"
First Name Last Name I have never tried it that way and may try it next time. If you try it let me know how it goes please.

I got an unction to share this note Lets Turn to God Theseasonorg explains the whole Bible God bless.
This method removes baked on burnt waffles bits but doesn't clean it. Use dishwashing soap.
Does this work if the last waffle is stuck on

that was neat
Are you from New Orleans? I am. I noticed the fleur-de-lys ... good tip. Thank you!
First Name Last Name I am actually from Mamou which is a very small town, but I live close to New Orleans now.
@@makeeverydaycolorful6789 I know Mamou but haven't been there. Always wanted to experience your Mardi Gras!
First Name Last Name you’re not missing much honestly. The chicken chasing is fun but no fancy parade or anything.
@@makeeverydaycolorful6789 Ah-ha, ha! ;D
RACISM IS NOT A BAD THING. CLOSE THE US MEXICO BORDER.
What a waste.
Humble Hustler You can just heat it up and pour water in it to ‘steam’ clean it
