@@AMurr45 James is a humble guy met him a few times at Conventions. Very nice and it's not even a comparison for me . Nick didn't do alot of the stunts in 78 . He was blessed to have Carpenter and Dean Cundy to work with . Honestly Nick played Myers prob 60 Percent of the time in 78 . Not enough for me .James Jude Courtney in H18 I knew he was good but in HK he is unmatched as Matt says in the interview the Ultimate Micheal Myers .James walking out of the burning house swinging that halligan tool from hand to hand stopping at the door frame stance on point nothing beats that. James got nerfed in HE . I have seen many interviews of James and he finally showed a bit of disappointment in this interview. Matt great job btw with the interview . All the hard work he put in to this trioligy and to me it looks like the first two movies ddg made just because and HE is what he wanted from the start . DDG is very unorganized he will change the script on a dime anytime . James explains alot of what I suspected NOT everything though . James Jude Courtney definitely the best in my book .

However the stuff Nick did do he did fantasticly and he's actually done alot more even Takes and shots that they didn't use. That I've asked him about.
And James Admires nick very much and he's said that Nick was great and Even helped mentor him how to be michael. People also loved nick being michael so much he got to go under the mask in H18 for a brief moment. I think it's very close but I still give it to Nick. But I don't take anything away from James especially after meeting him and talking to him. He's great
@@AMurr45 James for me is the Ultimate Micheal Myers which means that's as good as it gets for me . Nick did great I appreciate him being the first,but like I said he had Carpenter showing him and guiding him how to act and turn his head and act out the early stage of Micheal Myers . James perfected it on his own really . Nick and James are great friends now, but if you watch interviews he was never coached on anything from Nick . I respect your opinion. James deserved better in Ends hopefully you agree with that . ✌🏼

I met James a few times seem many interviews I can see the the sadness in his voice and tone. James deserved better in Ends that's my opinion .
@@Andromeda1741 No I got to disagree with that . The character of Micheal Myers was turned into a weak old man he needs no companion that's the WORST part of Ends for me . There are a few people I know that have connections at a few Conventions and one guy messaged me and said Halloween merch ESP Micheal Myers merch is not selling well after Ends that's very disheartening to hear . I went to HHN in Orlando and the vibe there was disappointment also . I don't like to hear that at all makes me very upset . James in this interview although done well by Matt here at Halloween daily is completely different from his past interviews .
He’s an artist and seems very happy with the artistic choices the production team made, stop projecting your emotions on him.
@@dench2695 Ya ok listen to the interview plain as day he is not to happy about it . Halloween merch esp Micheal Myers merch has been on the decline since Ends . I'm looking out for the collectors and hardcore fans also it's sad. I go to conventions I went to Hollywood Horror nights in Orlando last week nobody is happy with what happened in the movie. Every person I met there was disgusted with the movie . I talked to probably 50 people there about it it's just not right in my eyes I am a little bity Collector compared to Matt @HDN or many others . I'm talking out of respect for James not anything else .
@@keitha.563 Well, we all feel differently about the character and have different preferences. I didn't see his
weakness" as being sick or old, or from the beating he got. I didn't think that was the reason for his physical condition. That;s what James was talking about, you get to create your own version of the story, at least in certain parts. Or disregard that story altogether. I think the reason Michael merch is down for the moment is because alot of people are just disgusted right now and don't want to think about it at all. People will come around and realize that this film doesn't have to define MIchael for them. Whoever wrote this film doesn't get to control who Michael is FOR THEM. You can just leave this film out of your perception of Michael Myers. There are definitely certain parts of the film that I don't accept and I don't have to. I think enough people disliked the film enough that it is just going to fade away and soon everyone will think of Michael as they always did. I'm not letting MY Michael go out that way.

My Favourite Michael Myers is Nick Castle and James Jude Courtney
I love him
James is The Man.
I will always love Nick Castle, Dick Warlock and George P Wilbur in the role, but IMO James Jude Courtney was by far the best Myers. Part of my reasoning is down to him playing the role three whole times, but also because he just nailed all aspects of the character, and the look of his Myers was flawless.
JJC deserved much better than this ending. His version of Myers is brilliant.

I absolutely loved Ends!!!! I really think it was a very dark, depressing instalment in the Halloween franchise. Love the interview.
