I have been collecting oil lamps and other antiquities for a good number of years and it is always pleasing to see others enjoying the same. It is understood that the four-spouted lamps were in production for only a short period of time at the end of the Early Bronze Age (EBIV/MBI) and came about due to a shortage of olive oil. During this period alternative fuels had to be used, including fish oil and animal fat, neither of which burned as brightly as olive oil - hence the need for four wicks!
Thank you for this simple but very valuable demonstration and teaching!!!... God Bless you.

Thank you. I am very interested in Biblical Oil Lamps. Your lecture was very informative. I actually sell replicas of these in my store.
Just a thought, how did people in the old testament, light their lamps, Lord bless your ministry
