But that bond formed at young age will only get stronger with each fight.

My dad and my brother didn’t have a great relationship while my brother was going up until my brother moved out did my dad start to talk to him more. My dad has a bipolar disorder from what we believe and is a narcissist. My mom has talked to me about my dad’s actions while my brother was growing up that I don’t remember/ don’t know because I wasn’t born yet. My dad was/is jealous of my brother and me. Less me and more my brother because we had my mom’s full attention growing up and he had none.

My second older brother's ex partner one time when they were over at our old house would laugh at the jokes my brother made at me and make them back he immediately told them to stop and broke up with them (I'm not sure if its just that reason) but everytime i think of it, it makes me smile
Same thing for me like I will hate my sister every day of the week, but if she gets cheated on, I will send the cheater and the affair partner straight to Jesus

We talked after that and now we bother each other way too often lol
Let me break this down. Yall were not friends but when it came down to an “us against them” situation you proved that yall were at least family. And that in a lot of cases means everything.
My older brother, around 1.5 years older when I was, has punched me so hard on face it dislocated jaw and threw out 2 tooths, jaw clicking to this day 2 decades later, basically it was him bullying me for saying something that was the truth and he didn't like to hear it or didn't like I was right. No punishment from dad or mom, for some reason my dad already had a pastor he was talking to at home so he called him over to "heal" my jaw with "miracles of prayers". Tooth was collected by me next week went to dentist. Other than this he gave me bruises all over my body that would really need some alcohol and bandages, and no doctor so all in all it wasn't an emergency to my parents. I wasn't scarred or anything, it's just that the thought of him getting special treatment only ever started from there. In fact I was scolded for getting myself into this trouble, and my parents only saw my injuries as stress when the pastor left. I can move on from this but I don't think ill be keeping my older bro dear to my heart as this actually was the start of many beatings. Of course I fought back in defense sometimes but it didn't really matter or amount to much, I knew later in my teenage years if I actualise my anger of it it would make things worse. Around 25 he tried this again and couldn't really take me down, my dad saw this and said why don't I fight back. I tell him because of your house rules, because he's been doing this for like 15 years and my parents either don't believe me, or think I started it or are just giving him special treatment. I'm his blood brother, we look alike, but I don't ever even oce think of myself as a brother's keeper. Yes all this can make one bitter, I've been told growing up to move on, which I am, but one thing is certain. He is dead to me, I don't love or hate him, it's just I no longer will think of him fondly other than what is required as a family or his human rights. I'm 29, and we still see each other, and come to see our parents, I don't engage sith him and my parents stii to this day think we play fight all this time, they don't take it seriously enough. I have 2 younger sisters and the last a younger brother, I never raise my hand on any of them, and when they tell mom or dad about my problem they just brush of as boys will be boys. I sometimes think I'm insane or something is very wrong with me, but right now it's much less stressful, I don't see him every day.
