Great interview. Other interviewers seem to get the same Kevin Gates in every interview and talk about the same topics because they all ask him the same questions. But you brought out something new and on a deeper level than other interviews of him I've seen. Kevin Gates is such an inspirational entity, with his humbling words and sharp intellect. We know you can not judge a book by its cover, that statement is redundant. But to hear such profound words from a man of such a history and appearance is refreshing. To be so open about his flaws and battles with depression, he has a level of awareness that is not easily attainable. Colloquialisms or not, his approach is open and respectful. I'm a new fan!! So I just peeped The Luca Brasi Story and Stranger Than Fiction for the first time a few hours ago. This guy's awesome. Stupid me initially judging him by how he looks; I relate more to some the stuff he said than I expected. Stay strong, bro. Also Damon, wow, you're good. You know your stuff. Definitely gonna start peeping more interviews from here if they have this level of research put into them.
