"Simple and Clean" seems deeper than I remember. But, whose does it describe ? The singer implies to feel dirty and complicated, but the person they love most cleans their soul, even if they don't think an actual relationship would work. Is it Sora ? He's the one who's not scared by the future. Is it Riku ? He often comments Sora's smile is infectious, and he's more hesitant about relationships. Is it Kairi ? She's afraid of intimacy too and has a lots of insecurities, but she learns to welcome the future eventually, represented by her accepting Riku eventually. Is it the three of them ?
