Thank you! The blue and white GTS is one of my favorite cars of all time since it came out back in 96. It was such a great day when I was finally able to purchase one.
According to the Conners Plant closing event they advised the Gen 2 had closer to 500hp. They had purposely under estimated the HP for the Gen 2 Viper.. I never understood why... But the Gen 2 definitely had more than 450hp. Just thought you may like to know this...
A thing nobody touch's on... Some say they used the V10 from the Ram to power the Viper but the V10 Ram wouldn't come out for another 5 years from the unveiling.
Please tell me how you did your garage door? I need to do the same to fit that lift in my garage. Own a Viper, can only get a 2nd one if I get rid of my current garage door setup.
Just called my local garage door guy and he came out and raised the track to the ceiling and replaced the opener with a shaft mounted unit Liftmaster 8500.
You should make a video on the 1993 antenna cars. On April 3rd 1993 they stopped making "antenna cars" They had old school antennas, battery in the truck, and no lockout for reverse. Non antenna cars had a wire running up the windshield, lockout for reverse, and the battery went into the rear wheel well. Supposedly, only 300 of the 1000 Vipers in 1993 were antenna cars. Remember, 500 of the 1000 cars in 93 were crashed or totaled.
Great Video! Thank you so much! I learn a lot about Viper history. Just a small heads up, the NACA duct in the hood is pronounced (Na • Ca). Both of the As are pronounced with soft As.
Funny story, the very first Viper made was white and made by Metal Works in Fountain Valley (Orange County) California. I live in Huntington Beach about 5 miles away :)
That's awesome:) Did you know there was 1 Viper made for 1991, the pace car. Id love to see that thing. Btw, they made a few yellow Vipers in 1995. Funny thing is, last year I nearly bought a 94 green one with 2173 miles in Pittsburgh. A month ago I saw another 94 in red in Texas with 1537 miles.
@@That_ViperDude yellow and green gen 1s are quite rare (as you know). I've only seen a handful of each. I was fortunate when I went to the Conner Avenue Assembly Plant to see the white prototype, the '89 concept car, the pace car you mentioned, the GTS coupe concept car, the GTSR concept coupe and a number of historical racing Vipers. It's a shame that plant was converted to office space.
@@LifeatSpeed i have a graph breaking down every color of every year of gen 1 Vipers. 93 red 900, black 100, green 1. 94 1900 red, 500 black, 400 green. 95 700 red, 400 black, 300 green, 300 yellow. Of the 6000 gen 1 Vipers made, only about 4500 are left
A Gen. 4 Conv. is the best choice. A 3,300lb., 600hp./560tq. convertible. Damn
Great video! I like especially a Viper GTS. Love the blue paint with white stripes!

@@LifeatSpeed No doubt about that!;-)
Good thing because they're the most common.
Thanks making this professional & informative video 🇺🇸👍🏻
You're welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
thanks for the info mate, subbed
My pleasure! Thanks for the support!
Amazing video
Thank you!
My favorite still that 96!!

During the muscle car days automotive manufacturers did it to keep insurance premiums down. Could be similar situation
Having owned four 1997 GTS, there is NO WAY that car had only 450hp. The torque figures feel greater as well.

I think they meant they used a big block designed for the Ram but I could be wrong

1st.gen Rt/10 the best for me.
Can't go wrong with that!
I love my 93 gen 1 antenna car:)
Early build, nice
The Dodge Viper came out in the 90s.
The cool fact about the Vipers is that their handling and cornering are really compared to the 90s Mazda RX-7 FD.

So only the gen 2, 3, and 5 had ACR versions. Good info.
U didn’t even mentioned the 2015 Viper GT
Usually, My favorites are the Viper GTS' and the Viper SRT-10s.
Can you help me out... Ik the vipers come in 8.0 8.3 and 8.4, isn't there a 9.0 you can get???
There are aftermarket companies that build a 9.0L Viper engine.
Roflmao I always thought the red with yellow badges and wheels was a hulk Hogan special design
🐍🐍🐍
Iam I better off buying a #7/36 ACR DODGE VIPER SNAKE GREEN PAINT, FOR $59,995

I've seen that white car! That's pretty cool

@HBViperGuy that's great information! I'm kind of surprised that many gen 1s are still around.
I almost bought Viper #40 200040 and my buddy in Ohio owns #30 200030. He's thinking about selling it and I want it really bad.
The gen 3 was a joke, it was designed by the cheeseball who designed the Camry :/ How pathetic
Yeah it's my least favorite generation.
