It's been a pretty good year for me trophy wise. I got Red Dead Redemption 1 on ps3 done, Batman Arkham Origins, God Of War Ragnarok, Horizon Forbidden West, Hades, Dead Space Remake and Resident Evil. I also plan to platinum every Star Wars game and getting Star Wars Battlefront 1 completed as well the online trophies for Squadrons and Jedi Academy were definitely a highlight for me. Keep up the great work Adam and I look forward to seeing more of your videos.
Goddam. Those old ps3 Titans are a long time burden on trophy hunters, rare to get them done! Those Batman Origins MP trophies, what a fun time. Sever full of people on mics, getting organised, taking turns. There was someone with a short temper in my session on mic, laying waste to everyone who didnt know wtf to do. 🤣
@@machinedieselx4767 I was lucky to be part of a discord group who knew exactly what they were doing and we managed to get the harder trophies done fairly quickly. I can see how without an organised group, the Arkham Origins online trophies can be chaos, particularly the variation trophy and clutch. Hopefully you managed to get them before the servers closed.

Love the list Adam! I cant wait to see the Witcher platinum journey! I went from 50 platinums to 71! I try to get atleast 1 platinum per month every year but I ended up playing way more games then I thought I would this year.
Elden Ring is a fantastic game (in multiple ways!). I wasn't really seeking to Platinum it, but a couple hundred hours across two full playthroughs with different builds has me still lacking a few key trophies. I was amazed at how I was still discovering new areas even 200 hours in. I think your strategy for how to tackle that one will be key.
The Red Dead 2 platinum is my proudest one. That said, totally understand if the online trophies put you off of going for it yourself. I will say though, getting the online trophies took a while, but by far the most difficult aspect for me was getting gold stars on every story mission
Pretty solid list Adam! The Metro games are some of my absolute favourite and especially Metro Exodus where the world exploration is just breathtaking, I think if you really are into the atmosphere keep playing because its a helluva game

Nice list! Throughout the year I earned 22 Platinums leaving me at 173. Out of all of them I would say my favorite was Inscryption. Which I highly (and I do mean highly) recommend. It’s unlike any other modern game and is fantastic. Right now I’m trying to get all the Platinums for the Kingdom Hearts series (which I also highly recommend).I’m almost done with KH2 and then going on to Birth by Sleep (which I’m told is very difficult:/) But after that should be smooth sailing for the other 2.

I don't know if you've played it, but I highly recommend ''A Plague Tale''. There are 2 games, "Innocence" and "Requiem". I finished the second one for a few days and it still remains in my mind, a really amazing game experience with a nice set of trophies. Really good for Platinum Journey the way you do it, like 1 in one year and the next one the year after that maybe. Even if they don't become episodes, I still recommend getting this experience. You will love it, I'm sure.

I've been slacking. I'm at 47 platinums, with the most recent being Call of Duty MW2 Campaign Remastered, and Dark Souls 2. I feel like the games I'm currently playing are gonna keep me from another plat for quite a time. Stardew Valley, Monster Hunter Rise, Cyberpunk, Balders Gate, and Slay the Spire will be a GRIND

When I saw the title I thought it was gonna be you had 1000s, like the trophy chasers who play countless shovelware just for trophies. Nice to see someone who can take pride in the collection without being obsessed by it. Seems to me you play the games you like and then because you like them you go for the platinum.
Yeah, not going to spend time on games I don't care about just for a trophy. Bingo! Trophies should extend the lifespan of some of your favourite games.
@@AdamMcDermott That's pretty much how I see it, like a meta level of completionism. I normally dont go out of my way to platinum a game unless I dont intend to play it again, though trophies can also be a good way to influence my next playthrough of a game.

I was hoping go get 40 before the new year but I was extremely busy during the Summer. One of my new year resolution is to get to 48-50 Platinum by 31st December 2024. Currently with God of War 2018, Lego marvel 2 and lego movie be able to get to 40 in no time, and I got the line games. Although one of them it to speed run Prince of Persia 2008 in 12 hours (not sure if I would be able to do that and surprise that is a trophy). Keep up the good work and have a good one.

I have the platinum for rdr2 and I would say to not go for it and just enjoy the story and the world. Even if you’re not going towards completion, I highly, HIGHLY recommend exploring the world because there’s a lot of detail and secrets to discover. Most of the side missions are pretty fun as well, I’d just avoid the collectable ones. I’ve also been interested in playing Bioshock and I wanted to know which one you would recommend playing.
Congrats on another great year in gaming. As a huge final fantasy fan, I'd love to see an episode with one of the entries. 10 is super long, if you want a shorter platinum 7 or 8 or great but of the ones you mentioned I think you would really like 12 and the PS4 remaster is fantastic. Me personally, getting back into trophy hunting by getting a PS5 was exciting. Right now I'm close to 9000 total trophies and closing in on 75 platinums so I told myself for 2024, my gaming resolutions were to get to 75 platinums or get to 10k total trophies. Some of my proudest platinums include GOW Ragnarok, Hogwarts Legacy, Uncharted 4 & Lost Legacy via the Legacy Of Thieves collection (I only need to platinum 2 & 3 through the PS4 Uncharted trilogy and I'll have every main plat except for Golden Abyss), the Spider-Man games and the Syphon Filter games (all 5 of them that are available)...oh and I can't forget the game that kicked off my PS5 journey in Astro's Playroom.

I would definitely love a platinum bonus episode(s) for the witcher 3, its my favourite game and already platinumed on ps4 and not far off on ps5 as well. Blood and wine is a great expansion but hearts of stone main story is absolutely fantastic and has one of my favourite antagonists. I would recommend doing a bonus episode for each separately, they deserve their own spotlights.

I have a commentary for the platinum of RE4 Remake, I think you have to do separate playthroughs for the S+ ranking on the different difficulties, not by making one on professional is gonna give you the other trophies. Please check these before attempting the professional s+ playthrough

Great video Adam! Just a tip with RE4 remake, the S+ play throughs unfortunately don't stack, thats why the guide suggests roughly 7 play throughs. Just achieved this earlier this month
@@skippies1846 interesting, must have missed that! Thankfully the mercenaries DLC came out so there isn't a need to do the S+ Professional to unlock the hand cannon. This is probably why I was led to believe that they ALL don't stack, as I never did the S+ professional run
Red Dead Redemption 2 is one of the greatest games of all time that quickly becomes one of the worst if you go for the platinum 😂. I gave up on the platinum just for the multiplayer grind alone.
Looks like a solid year for trophies. Hearing about your love for Ratchet and Clank and the collectables makes me ask, have you gotten a chance to dive into Psychonauts 2? It might scratch that itch with a pleasant platinum trophy (especially when compared to the first game). Cheers!
I'd love an FF10 episode and even though i know it can seem daunting its my personal favourite game and the ending is absolute incredible too so its exciting you haven't seen it yet but even if you eventually just play through the story in your own time without trophies i hope you enjoy it again as its a very special game! I picked it up on sale just last night. Certainly going to play through it to see the ending finally at some point. An episode would be cool but that platinum seems to be about 130 hours or so. Yikes.
ff16 was a pretty good platinum it does require 2 playthroughs with one normal run and then the new game + on final fantasy difficulty but you can use the rings of timely (the assist accessories) to help as they dont void trophies. I platted it and am waiting till the rising tides dlc comes out before returning again.

I got busy with life College, hanging with friends and family, and lack of games to immerse myself in I only got 6 platinums this year. Making my total 66 at the moment Ds1, ds3, ds2, we were here friendship, it takes 2, and lost legacy After I platinumed every fromsoftware game, I felt massively empty, because these games was peak enjoyment for me
Unfortunately, I doubt that will happen. After the first one and Miles Morales, I feel like I've had my fill of Spider-Man. Not much of a Venom fan either.

the one thing im looking forward too as a trophy hunter in 2024 is only single player games in 2023 i did all battlefields and call of duty platniums 😅it made me hate gaming but on ps profiles i do have a cool trophy cabinet my rarest being 0.55% the platnium trophy for Black ops 4 but i will never ever do another call of duty at least not in 2024 maybe in 2025 ill jump back in but man did i start to hate myself 😂😂 anyway glad you did witcher 3 😁 also cause of your video on Bastian platnium journey last year i bought the game :)
I haven't finished the main game yet, so far from the end. Not sure if I will see the end as I've kind of got side tracked with games for Platinum Journey. So many games to play these days.
The Forspoken demo was just a bad demo. I hated how it felt and never thought I'd play the game. I watched some reviews and then bought it on a deep discount and it's a completely different experience when you have the story and the drip feeding of new gameplay mechanics.

As a huge final fantasy fan, I'd love to see an episode with one of the entries. 10 is super long, if you want a shorter platinum 7 or 8 or great but of the ones you mentioned I think you would really like 12 and the PS4 remaster is fantastic. Me personally, getting back into trophy hunting by getting a PS5 was exciting. Right now I'm close to 9000 total trophies and closing in on 75 platinums so I told myself for 2024, my gaming resolutions were to get to 75 platinums or get to 10k total trophies. Some of my proudest platinums include GOW Ragnarok, Hogwarts Legacy, Uncharted 4 & Lost Legacy via the Legacy Of Thieves collection (I only need to platinum 2 & 3 through the PS4 Uncharted trilogy and I'll have every main plat except for Golden Abyss), the Spider-Man games and the Syphon Filter games (all 5 of them that are available)...oh and I can't forget the game that kicked off my PS5 journey in Astro's Playroom.

I would definitely love a platinum bonus episode(s) for the witcher 3, its my favourite game and already platinumed on ps4 and not far off on ps5 as well.
Blood and wine is a great expansion but hearts of stone main story is absolutely fantastic and has one of my favourite antagonists.
I would recommend doing a bonus episode for each separately, they deserve their own spotlights.
Hmm, was initially only considering one of the DLCs for a Bonus episode, but will now think about both. No guarantees though.

I have a commentary for the platinum of RE4 Remake, I think you have to do separate playthroughs for the S+ ranking on the different difficulties, not by making one on professional is gonna give you the other trophies. Please check these before attempting the professional s+ playthrough

Great video Adam! Just a tip with RE4 remake, the S+ play throughs unfortunately don't stack, thats why the guide suggests roughly 7 play throughs. Just achieved this earlier this month
False. They don't stack if you do Normal + Hardcore but they all stack if you finish it on Professional.
Echoing what the other person said, guides say Professional S+ does indeed stack.

@@skippies1846 interesting, must have missed that! Thankfully the mercenaries DLC came out so there isn't a need to do the S+ Professional to unlock the hand cannon. This is probably why I was led to believe that they ALL don't stack, as I never did the S+ professional run
Red Dead Redemption 2 is one of the greatest games of all time that quickly becomes one of the worst if you go for the platinum 😂. I gave up on the platinum just for the multiplayer grind alone.
Thank you for reaffirming my decision to not platinum. Gonna just enjoy the story and world instead.

I picked it up on sale just last night. Certainly going to play through it to see the ending finally at some point. An episode would be cool but that platinum seems to be about 130 hours or so. Yikes.

Good news, I recently finished 2033 and will continue playing the series.
ff16 was a pretty good platinum it does require 2 playthroughs with one normal run and then the new game + on final fantasy difficulty but you can use the rings of timely (the assist accessories) to help as they dont void trophies. I platted it and am waiting till the rising tides dlc comes out before returning again.

Don't know if you misspoke or else, but for S+ in RE4R you have only 10 saves and 5 (4,5?) hours to do it. Better to double check it.
Thank you for your concern, it is 15 manual saves. The game tells you in the "Results" screen under "Requirements" for each rank. Under 5.5 hours too.

the one thing im looking forward too as a trophy hunter in 2024 is only single player games in 2023 i did all battlefields and call of duty platniums 😅it made me hate gaming but on ps profiles i do have a cool trophy cabinet my rarest being 0.55% the platnium trophy for Black ops 4 but i will never ever do another call of duty at least not in 2024 maybe in 2025 ill jump back in but man did i start to hate myself 😂😂 anyway glad you did witcher 3 😁 also cause of your video on Bastian platnium journey last year i bought the game :)

The Forspoken demo was just a bad demo. I hated how it felt and never thought I'd play the game. I watched some reviews and then bought it on a deep discount and it's a completely different experience when you have the story and the drip feeding of new gameplay mechanics.
