Chrome OS Flex is shit. I tried to install it on my computer which had 2 SSDs and 2 HDDs. On one of my HDDs I had important files like photos and videos. When I started to install it, he didn't ask me in which partition I want to install it, but just installed it on HDD with the important information and deleted everything. Useless OS.
Hi. Thanks for your comment. That's one thing (IMPORTANT) that I forgot to say in the video. That Flex is unpredictable when it come to installing.. like u said.. it doesn't ask where to be installed. Sorry that this happened to you. I will pin your comment.. hopefully many ppl will see it.
@@TheArtmann Fortunately, I was able to recover 98% of my lost information such as photos and videos. I restored everything with the help of Lazesoft Recovery Suite.
Great. Is this software free? I had an issue with list data a while ago.. I made a video about it.. and I recovered everything with Recuva.. well almost everything -5 files out of 4000+:)
@@TheArtmann The program is not free, but I have a pirate license that makes it paid. You have a great chance to recover your files if you deleted them recently and did not save anything to HDD. This way I recovered 80GB of deleted files. If they were deleted a long time ago and you have recorded information many times, your chances of recovery are small.
Good point! I think the most benefit i can notice in CrOS Flex is the performance and good compatibility. But, while it don't have Android apps support, i'll keep a brunch installation for dual boot. Hope that Google bring Android to Flex on the future.
totaly agree with u , i am a follower and fan of cloudready/chromeos etc since years ago and was dissapointed by the lack of playstore and when flex was announced i got hyped again but felt down again when no playstore support was announced i duno y google dont realzie how a killer feature playstore will be cheers
I installed Chrome OS Flex on an old laptop with Intel i3-330M, and it runs okay. Still, I ditched Chrome OS Flex since I can't install apps using Google Playstore. Waiting for Google to give Playstore access on Chrome OS Flex.

My 2 cents - I just installed Flex on Intel Core 2 Duo + 4GB RAM + SSD, works fine, i just needed to replace the old wifi card (intermittent connection issues )
Hi. This is a tricky question because I don't use online banking under any circumstances. Not on chrome, not on windows not on phone or anything. You may find it weird but that's me. For Amazon, Netflix and play store I use vouchers:) So I can't really answer to that question. Or I can answer it by saying that I don't trust my banking data on anything with a wifi connection 😉

I answered our on the other comment about prim3 os. Is not better than chrome os with Play Store.. definitely not. And not better than Flex either. No matter how much I hate Flex, is works better than prime os. The only thing is that prim3 os has Play Store and Flex not
bro when i start my chrome os then when i open any app it starts taking load and i have to wait for minimum 5 min for it to load and sometimes apps wont load what should i do

It used to be a good os.. mayb3 it still is the best on the old Android 7 version. But unfortunately everything newer than that it sucks. PrimeOS with android 11 is full of bugs, crashes and errors.. still.. after 1 year. Maybe because they focus on their laptop Primebook

hey i have a intel cherry trail tablet and i installed chrome os from the brunch framework, after lot of driver download and install i made it run, however camera is not working and battery is still very poor any suggestions for that
For camera check out my video "How to Fix Chrome OS" from my ChromeOS playlist. I guess there was a fix for camera there. As for battery life I can't say.. I have no issues with it.. it's actually double than what I get on windows

Whatever the case.. even if you get a better laptop than that what you've explained, you'd still not be able to run android apps better than on a phone. Android and android apps are specific made for phones and arm processors, and then "converted"... "adapted" for laptop and PC. And with the specs you've mentioned, you'll not be able to run smooth apps. You can try installing android x86, or remix os but don't get your hopes high

Regardless if it's a critc. What I didn't appreciate was those ppl who told me to take the chill pill because Flex is in beta or early access and that they know that Play store will come on it. I don't think so. FydeOS is as compatible as ChromeOS when it comes to hardware. And if Chrome OS is not compatible with core2duo then Fyde will not be either
This thing runs for years now and there are tens of thousands of pole using it..maybe even more and not a single one of them ever mentioned that their email address got banned or something similar. I remember some months ago I was researching this topic and there was an older guy on Google's support page (some platinum user... idk how they are ranked.. I just remembered he had platinum in the title) and even he said he is using Chrome OS on his old PC.

Hi, I've tried Chrome OS and Chrome OS Flex already. and this is what I genuinely think. To me, Chrome OS and Chrome OS flex are identical; the primary distinction is that while Chrome OS has the Play Store, Chrome OS flex does not. For older devices and those with 4GB or less of RAM, Chrome Flex is, in my opinion, noticeably faster. I tested it on a Lenovo IdeaPad 1 with a 4GB RAM and an N4020 CPU. The Play Store and Android apps use system resources (RAM, cache, etc.) in the background to function properly under standard Chrome OS. That, in my opinion, is the primary reason why Flex is faster. With regular Chrome OS, I only have 2.2GB of RAM available at idle; with Flex, I have 3.2GB. (out of 4gb ram) Additionally, I saw that the CPU in Flex was constantly on the low stable side, but with Chrome OS, there were more CPU spikes. Thus, if you like Android, install Chrome OS; however, if, like me, you have a slow laptop and want it to run as quickly as possible, utilize the Chrome OS Flex.
very informative as always but i am really waiting for a mac os(hackintosh) installation guide from the person who makes tutorials that actually work because most of the other ones just are too complicated or dont work in general

I saw a tutorial for that and it worked, but you really need to work hard to find your hardware compatibility as I did it with first trial and it happened just like it shall be.
what about poor people like me i cannot afford a new computer,i have windows 10 because my pc is old when windows stop supporting windows 10 but cant update to windows 11 whilst bringing out windows 12 2025 chromes flex will save me,its not about apps to me its money

That happened to me too, but with the external drive I had plugged in. Good thing I had a backup of that since it had all my work stuff on it.
If this OS doesn't provide Android support, it is practically useless.

I have a Chromebook and I uninstalled all the apps except Google Chrome .
I think that's the best experience and it's insanely fast .

chrome os will save you. but linux can save you as well. there are dozens of light, fun distros out there
