- This video explains how to find out beam reactions in case of simply supported beam carrying inclined point load.
In this example we have considered hinged support at one end & roller support at the other end. Due to inclined point load, the reaction at hinged support will also be inclined. This beam reactions or support reactions are calculated analytically by applying the conditions of equilibrium.

Hi, I have a question. The roller and the hinge both allow rotation but do you only take the moment of one of them? Why did you not take the moment of both the roller and the hinge?
I think the angle at Ra will be equal to the Inclined force applied at D,as it have to be cancelled at the end to make equilibrium condition.
Am I correct?
Make a video on beams having point loads at equal distance from the ends which are inclined at different angles and a uniform load about a unit length in the middle of the beam.
