Playa de Amadores is an utterly unique beach.
Playa de Amadores, an artificial beach which is situated in the warm southwest of Costa Canaria. Well known tourist places nearby are Puerto de Mogan, Taurito and Puerto Rico. Playa de Amadores belongs to the municipality of Mogán.

Prefer Tenerife hands down sorry because it caters for everyone from the UK. GC not for me as a a proud welshman or my family sorry, as they say horses for courses I know my preferred course the Rife been to GC 3 times wont go again sorry. It might tick some peoples boxes not mine or my families.

I LOVE this beach ! Really enjoyed sunbathing by that amazingly blue sea , drinking ice cold beers in the beach bars ! Put this by Parque Santiago 3 , Tenerife and I’d have my perfect resort 😍 . I’ve been to all the Canary Islands . Tenerife has always been my favourite , but after I’ve visited , Amadores, Puerto Mogan , Anfi and Puerto Rico , it did make me wonder 🤔 . Stopped at the rui vista mar twice can highly recommend if you like a quiet peaceful time, free bus down to the beach as its top of the hill

Went to that Riu for my honeymoon March 2005. Stunning beach. I reckon I know why it reminds people of the Caribbean. The beach is a mixture of sahara sand, and crushed coral sand from the Caribbean. Built 2002. Loving it on 4k on my tv 👍😎

Personal favourite is the drunken duck tenerife in playas americas but blink and you'll miss it.
A proper British pub. Recommend you see comedy elvis there. You won't have a better night. Funniest thing I saw on the island.

That is certainly a great beach and a bit more upmarket than Puerto Rico. I was usually in the Gloria Palace just outside Puerto Rico. Remember your suncream I got burned on Amadores beach. I was in the zone headphones on music playing chilling. I have to say though Playa De Las Canteras in Las Palmas is stunning. Not only is it a great long family friendly beach. But the promenade is lined with lots of bars cafes and restaurants. It's used a lot by the locals and there is just something special about Canteras it's atmosphere. It draws me back time and time again. I've never sunbathed on it. But love to walk there. It's supposed to be one of the best in Europe. So I'd highly recommend checking Las Canteras out.
i thinking the same, and in my eyes the westcoast are best, arguineguin, puerto rico and amadores. the best beach are amadores but puerto rico are nr 2
Canteras beach in las palmas as a lot more barrs, and was voted best beach in Gran canaria.
Where is that part of the gran canaria you was at please Mac, as my daughters off to Tenerife in July too.
But I'm swaying towards here now, well Tauriso in the Gran Canaries as the beaches look gorgeous, I always go all-inclusive though for the breakfast an the alcohol plus snacks around the resort otherwise we tend to eat out for dinner, I dont mind if it's not got much nightlife as it's a relaxing vacation we're looking for so booking up on Monday, plus we're off to the Caribbean for Christmas an Newyear so that will be a lively time.

You're welcome. It was in the south of Gran Canaria Amadores not that far from Playa Del Ingles. I loved Amadores and Puerto De Mogan. The beaches are way better than Tenerife. You should get a quote off my friend he's absolutely spot on. Book all my trips with him. I'm not sponsored by him BTW. Just highly recommend him. He's worked in travel for years. I'll be heading there 10th Sept for a week staying at the gloria Palace overlooking amadores. Think it's the week the Spanish children head bk to school so I'm hoping it's a little less busy of late 🤘
We are lucky enough to go twice a year for the past 10 years and not once saw a jelly fish, get in the ocean and enjoy it, great vids keep them coming and if you get a chance next time your there give aunties kitchen a try for a good authentic Indian meal it’s in the commercial centre 👍🏻

Been there! It is a lovely beach , we always go to amadores beach when there is cloudy weather in Maspalomas.
You can easily get there with the local bus ( if you do not want to rent a car)

Loved the last video with the marina but one step back now beautiful beach & sea but basic restaurant/inflatable shop/restaurant & dozens of sun lounger close to each other that’s a👎🏻for me (great for family’s )lee normally near walls or in marinas loads of mullet swimming 🐠???in clear water. Still jealous though. Enjoy Tony

Think they had just finished building the beach last time I was in Puerto Rico. Lovely place but unless their are now hotels on a lower level it was nice going down but too much of a chore walking back up

You are right. It is a lot nicer. More laid back than playa del ingles. I've been 8 times now. Try monaco restaurant on the front. It was the cheapest when we were there and amazing service. God I love this place.

Tenerife gets far too cloudy, went in 2014 for the last time in July/August, two weeks of thick black cloud hanging over las americas, never again 🙈
