@@poetcomic1 fr idk where teachers get off making kids try and understand a play by reading it, legit unless you're like a playwright or something it is SO confusing😤
I'm playing Mr Webb for my highschool play and I gotta say the way the actor portrayed the character is very different from the way I perceived mine. I didn't really see Mr Webb that way I've always thought he was more flamboyant than awkward. The actor still did a great job portraying the character his way, and I do realized that the lines were a bit rushed but the stage manager, he's just mesmerizing. The way he talks and his body language hooks on. It's amazing especially since the lines are really long and the lines can easily bore the audience but he just didn't do that.
i am currently playing Mrs. webb in my highschool drama and the way mrs. webb did her monologue was kinda rushed and out of place. slowing down would have made it more meaningful and showed that hint of drama and emotion. i first read it like this but i soon learned that slowing it down was better. but great job overall
I'm currently playing George and I really disagree with the way he's played in this representation. The character seems almost idiotic and like stuff just happens to him instead of him making his own stand in trying to be a good guy. Especially in the scene with Mr Morgan, the actor replaces his apology with just smiling and hoping for the best. I feel in this particular scene George is trying to show his love as much as possible but he doesn't know what he's doing, he's more awkward than confident.
The stage manager is a natural at acting!
dont even try to rely on the captions, only 4 minutes in and the paperboy is talking about pizza rolls
the narrator is genius
I'm only watching this so I don't have to read the book for class.
Jx Haseul omg same

It is a PLAY you should get extra points for WATCHING IT which is why it was written.

22:15 at our show, we made the scene more awkwardly funny by letting Emily and George have a hand-on-hand moment and then they pull away
