- Here is the first McNeilus ZR I filmed in Manhattan Beach, California. The regular driver was out, and so we have Richard "Big Rick" Ryan behind the wheel. Rather tight area, and with the grippers that stick out quite a distance, I'm sure Rick wasn't having the easiest time maneuvering through the tight streets, hence the slower operation. As with all of Waste Management's employees that service the South Bay, Rick did an awesome job.
A neat little story - when I approached Rick, he immediately knew I was there to film. He told me about "a kid in Long Beach that does the same thing". I was trying to figure out who he was talking about and a couple minutes later I realized it was Eric. Check out his video of Rick in 103718 here:

Nice job! I noticed when the truck goes back it's sounds like a forklift and a nice trick to get the black bin back in place to take the trash out!

Awesome video nice to see Big Rick again. Hopefully I can find him again so I can see if he remembers you lol Sucks that he wasnt fast or flipping much lids. In gaminos truck and armons he was a lot faster and flipped. Guess MB trucks are like thats the downside but I just love the # and the different sound it has. Nontheless awesome stuff
Thanks! Rick was awesome. Bet he was haulin in Gamino's truck. Idk what it is about the Manhattan trucks, they are just fun to watch no matter what lol especially Santo's truck. It would be nice if they add double logos and phone number to the Carson trucks.

Great video! Really like those ZR's, I used to get them mixed up with the pendpacs because their arm looks very similar. I hope to film some ZR's soon. Its pretty funny when the drivers don't grab the carts too tight like at 5:08 I've seen they happen and the driver didn't notice and the cart got hoppered! Lol did he collect that manual bin at 5:27? You filmed with your bro right? Cool pic at 7:28 and I liked the background where all three carts were 30 gallon. Pretty cool pics too. Great work Aaron thanks for sharing.
