I don't see how this is better than just doing cinematic with a freestyle drone

I owned and flew the original Karearea Talon with vertical arms and later a cheaper clone of it, for about a year. When tilted forward for normal fast forward flight, the arms generated a fair bit of lift, which meant I could go faster for the same or longer time than any of my normal deadcat frames. Back then, even on 4S it was a 90+mph quad. BUT.. because the arms were producing lift, it did get knocked around by the wind a bit more, and not for lack of trying I found it fairly unsuitable for dropping straight down a vertical face (camera with normal up-tilt angle, pointed straight at the ground) because it would just literally fly away from the cliff face (like a skydiver tracking out). What I'd have to do is turn 90 degrees and just fly *close to* the face (on my left or right side) rather than trying to go dead straight down. This effect is the reason I wouldn't really recommend any vertical arm quad for freestyle. If you tried to drop straight down into a small opening in a building, you'll likely miss and hit the roof instead. If you want fast forward cruising though, they're good. And they track around turns like they're on rails.

I'd like one 7" quad with vertical arms...
be cool with an aeropod... something to reduce drag covering camera and battery...
something for cruising at 99.99 mph for a whole 6s 5000mah...
does look like a fiddley son of a...

Check out a guy on RUclips called GDZ
He has made a frame that is like this afterburner but much bigger. It’s a Welsh lad that makes some sick frames and stuff.

You don't want to crash and repair this.
The true X and aerodynamic arms make this fly well.
Still not worth it, compared to using a typical freestyle.
